Kind of, at home once. I had been reading into black magic and stuff, trying to horribly inprecise cast some black magic spells(which cannot possibly have worked as nobody got hurt) and then I put my hands on top of my PC monitor. Then it started making a buzzing sound, and only when I held my hand there. After a few times, the plug shot out and into the wall. Or so it sounded like. The plug fell out anyway. It scared me a bit.

And no I live around Dallas...where many, many. many bands come through. So I hardly have to travel to see anyone except for really not so famous indie bands that I like...in which case you have to go to Seattle and shit...but even still it's not that expensive if you drive.
