I don't usually care for cover renditions of hit songs, especially when the original is by a band that I consider ICONIC, but this cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" by The Antlers is simple and pure and full of melancholic haunting beauty. I really like it.

Stupid people playing with gasoline and matches.

Stupid person #1 up in tree, fire is lit at bottom, he empties his gas can down the side. Hilarity ensues!

Stupid person #2 pours gas can contents into deck fireplace to give the fire a boost. Hilarity ensues!

Stupid person #3 starts a bonfire with 5 gallons of gas. Hilarity ensues!

BONUS - Creepy footage of Stupid person playing with gasoline and matches ... at a GAS STATION!

Too bad none of them were Darwin Award winners.

I love me some Louis CK!

From the stand-up special "Chewed Up" ... an exploration of the uses of the word f@gg0t.

"Stop being a f@gg0t and suck that dick!"

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

*Edit: changed spelling to bypass censor. D@mmit!*

Louis CK's recent appearance on the Jay Leno show:

Louis CK does The Tonight Show 6-23-10

"The free lunch is always the same thing, it's peanut butter and jelly. Just peanut butter and jelly. Because poor kids don't have deadly nut allergies. They don't. It's true, they don't. Because all of them that did died. And nobody cares."

He's so crass but he makes me laugh my ass off.

Also, my favorite Electronica band Orbital gave a performance in Glastonbury this past weekend. For their encore they did a song they're famous for covering ... the Doctor Who theme. And guess who made a guest appearance to intro the tune? Current Doctor Who actor Matt Smith!

Orbital at Glastonbury 2010 with Matt Smith

HOW COOL IS THAT?!!!

Yeah, that one still cracks me up ... even after repeated viewings.

Why you can't invite Scooby Doo to a party.

Yeah, that was funny in an obnoxious kind of way.

Here's what happens when someone has too much time on their hands and ...

runs Craig Ferguson through the YouTube Poop mixer.

Heres a virtual movie of the celebrated American poet Robert Frost reading his favourite own poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", made by animating his picture. The sound recording on this virtual movie was made in 1948.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
