I know for a fact Wet Seal is a lot cheaper, and they do have decent clothing. Also, when I do visit the store, its usually empty or lacking customers.
I think Hot Topic has reached its down fall. <shutters>

I went into a Hot Topic yesterday. Could not find a single damn thing of any interest.
Let us not forget that Hot Topic also spawned that awful Torrid store, which, at least around here anyway, has thankfully been wiped out of existance.
You'll very rarely find me in a mall, but when I saw that store a few years back my first thought was "That's fucking awful. No one with an ass that big should be trying to cram it into anything that short."
Actually, I lied. I found a half-interest in a shirt and a pair of shorts, but at $72 for both I walked on out. I'd much rather go out and spend that money on a few books and to go check out this shop I've been hearing about a few towns over.

How is torrid awful? They have more range and selection then most stores I've been too. I shop there all the time.

I have to go there on Thursday. My friend changed her style as she calls it but she did buy some gauges from Hot Topic last time we went to the mall together (she and I seem to do that a lot XD) so I'm going to get her a $10 gift card and a journal. I could do better if I had more money and more time but her graduation and my sister's is on Friday. It won't be mallrat day but I'll let you know if anything interesting happens to me. I'm still deciding how I want to dress. xD

I started thinking back a good few years, and remember a couple of more reasons why I typically don't like the place.
Their boots are absolute crap. I've never bought any myself, but my ex went through a few pairs, that all promptly broke after a wear or two.
Their rings are crap as well, all made of a very cheap material. Luckily, 95% of them look awful anyway, so hopefully not many people buy them as it is.

I don't like going there because I think the quality of the clothing sucks. I've purchased a pair of earings and a shirt from there. The earings turned my ears greenish, and the dangle fell off after a week. The shirt faded to a terrible dark grey upon the first wash (it was inside out, too) and the screening is peeling off. In looking at their other clothes, judging by the seam, it looks as if it's merely basted instead of sewn properly.
Most of the clothes there are overpriced, undersewn, and are very mainstream looking. By that, I mean it's similar to mainstream clothes but in a darker color and maybe a safety pin here or there.

No we shouldn't. We should write this melodious language without staining it.

#1, I can speak English perfectly. I simply choose to slang because it takes less time.
#2, I actually DO have the right force/enforce this sort of filth onto you people.
#3, Both force and enforce are correct.
#4, You have the right to ignore me (or even make fun of me) when I do force/enforce this onto you.
so, ha

Really? I'm curious... what did you do with that 0.2 seconds you saved in writing "spensive" instead of "expensive".
And while we're on "saving time", you would have saved a lot more if you hadn't put a title to your post.

You know, Mohawk, people will just respond better to proper English. And you must be smart enough that they haven't removed your liver yet so show it at first glance. Also it makes you think more, if you don't want to think dahlin' go take a nap.
Excuse me, I have to go make sure nothing gets electrocuted.
Oh yeah, Jilli, check your email.
