Well, we found out my gf's dad has advanced liver cancer that spread to the intestines and the gallbladder. They're giving him a year at most. His wife said she won't live without him.
Everything is a disaster.

Damn PJ, I'm really sorry. I wish there was something I could do to help.

Fuck. Sorry to hear that PJ - but I guess that's his wife's decision. Maybe your GF can give her mum something else to live for (i.e. get her other interests apart from her husband).
My rant seems insignificant - I hate stomach bugs and job applications.

Cheers, I wouldn't say awful really, but it's certainly affected me, been thinking about it a lot.
I actually thought about calling the cops but at first it sounded like kids fucking around in the street, later it sounded like some real bad shit was going down. Only I was stoned and sometimes that fucks with my aural perception so I quickly convinced myself it was just kids after all, until I heard the cops arrive about 10 minutes later.
The way I hear it went down it would have been too late anyhow and that's sort of a relief to be honest.

One time I thought I heard a woman being attacked but then it turned out to be a fox, nothing that adorable should make sounds that fucking disturbing.

I tried to break up with my boyfriend yesterday. We talked it out and now we're trying again. I'm not sure how I feel about it all. I mean I do love him, I just don't think we're in love anymore. My relationship isn't overly physically affectionate and a few other things. The bottom line is that I love him, not to mention he treats me really well.
However I can't help feel deflated. I stayed up all night planning this, and convinced myself I wasn't going to go to sleep until after my talk, and then I get there and I got talked out of it. Kind of like "so much for my decision making". Oh well. If everything ends up better I'll be okay with it.
And today we're probably going to go rollerskating. Can't deny man a second chance if he's wiling to go roller skating with you.

The DMV completely lost the license that they were supposed to mail to me, they have the record of the transaction being processed and the thing got made but they don't know what happened to it so now they are going to mail me a new one. So tell me how is them mailing licenses out an improvement over getting them at the counter?

One of those days where I realize I'm overqualified for my job but still getting bitched at by someone with way less experience than me for something totally out of my control.

My hayfever is driving me mad. The nasal spray the doctor gave me for it is just about useless but I can't have anything else because of the other medications I take. Anyone know of anything that might help that won't interact with my medications?

Have you tried using a neti pot? It may not be perfect but it could help, especially after you have come in for they day, since it will rinse any allergens out of your sinuses.

They come in a lit of different shapes but mine is ceramic and looks kind of like a little teapot, you fill it with lukewarm salt water (you get little packs of super fine salt that dissolves quickly), tilt your head forward and to the side over a sink, and you just pour the water in one nostril and it comes out the other, basically rinsing out the whole nasal cavity. It sounds really odd, and it does take a little getting used to but it keeps my sinuses nice and healthy.
