Don't do it! Don't bait the ophelia.
Oh dear. You're gonna get it now.

Duane, have you considered that she might not be that into you? Because the way she's treating you is the way I treat guys I'm trying to slowly let go of.

Personal strife is no reason to abandon basic manners.

Well, Duane finally got some love, unfortunately her parents didn't like the fact that an 18 year old was dating their 16 year old daughter, we weren't having sex, just doing the normal couple stuff. However, they said she had to wait until her 17th, until she could date me... so yeah.

So, once again, Duane needs advice on how to get a girlfriend.

Well, she despises me for some reason, I don't know why, so I don't think it'll be worth it.

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I see a date as a cause to just hang out with someone. I don't really see it as a cause to pursue sex or a connection like that. I just let all that sort of happen by accident.

Ok, after looking up "How to get a girlfriend" on Wikihow, I see that they are offering just normal, good dating advice that you would find anywhere else. There is no magical "how-to" on how to get a girlfriend.

What you should try to concentrate on instead is taking small steps to improve yourself in areas of your life that you feel could need some work. Not saying that you need work, but most everyone has their own few things that they would change about themselves. Through doing this, it will help to boost your confidence. Nothing in either sex is more attractive than self-confidence. Just don't confuse self-confidence with cockiness. The aim is to be a gentleman, not a prick.

The best advice I've ever got, and believe me it has been hard to accept, is: "Don't go out actively seeking love/ relationships. Let them find you." This can help you avoid much of the heart-ache that comes after rushing into a relationship without taking the time to get to know the person better. Wish I had learned this sooner in life myself, might not have ended up engaged twice and never making it to the alter.

Hope this helps in some way.
