Badly written "what is goth" haiku. Inspired by whiskey and this thread...
Goth is not so hard
People dressing up in black
All hail Robert Smith
....Oh! Oh the silliness!

He has a place? I thought he was a roaming evil blight that liked KFC.
EDIT:
Well, you know, it strikes me as very goth, this thread does. First we ridicule the idea of a single definition of "goth", then we start going off on tangents and being silly, and finally we compose really bad poetry about it.
Sounds about right, no?

#1 - The first rule of Goth is, you do not talk about Goth.

Goth is vanity. It is the look and dance.

Not this "Goth=lifestyle/religion to justify my pretension" bullshit again. Usually, I find people who say this are either at the apex of their ubergoff period or say it to disguise that they're in the scene because they got thrown out of everything else and use it as an excuse not to expand their lives beyond trying to desperately fit in there.
Either way, it's still lame and pretentious dickwaving no matter which side you're on.
Oh, and haikus are Japanese. Spin again.

Lolly PopMuzik,
Thanks. I needed a good laugh. The site was reminiscent of Sykospark's Insta Goth Kit site, equally facetious and very funny. Upshot: If you have to ask what a goth is you aren't one -- and most likely don't qualify.

Are you being sarcastic ?
Well let´s just say I observe people a lot. I´ve been watching you since you posted the thread about the peircing, and then the other one asking if you´re ugly. I notice almost everything about a person, even if I don´t have direct contact with them.

Now you're getting it! Goth requires a sense of humor, a certain quality, a talent for detecting whimsy where mundanes cannot find it. In other words: We rock!

No I'm serious. I was just startled by how accurate you were.
It's like you gazed into my soul. And yes, I am serious.

Why can't you dress that way anymore? I can dress that way to a certain extent, but my mom likes to be a tight-ass about not letting me wear certain things...
