The Holy Trinity...New Hope, Empire and Jedi. There are no others that are worthy of such adoration. They are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

The old Star Wars trilogy is the best. Don't like the new ones.
I don't like the LOTR either much, cos they're not like the books.
How can you have Lod of the Rings without Tom Bombadil!

I am a Star Wars geek. I'll admit their flaws. I'll also admit that I think Lord of the Rings is objectively the best of the trilogies listed. I've read the books. Maybe I'm easily impressed, but it was one of the few book to movie adaptations I'd ever seen. Gandalf was exactly how I envisioned him. Casting was near perfect.
But flaws and all, Star Wars wins for me hands down. Original trilogy. The prequels have their points, and Episode III comes close to being good enough to fit with the original trilogy, but the other two are terrible. It could have started with Episode III. For the first time in the prequels, it felt like Star Wars. Han Solo is my personal favorite.
While not a true trilogy, since we're due out (supposedly) with a fourth Indy movie some time soon and since even the original is just three chronologically out of order self contained episodes, I'm a huge fan of the Indiana Jones stuff, Radiers being the best of course.

My favorite trilogy happens to be LOTR. I am a sucker for sword fighting, platinum blonde elves and bearded royalty.
...
On a more serious note, The Matrix trilogy. But not before Star Wars.

My favourite trilogy of all time is the original Star Wars trilogy.
I also like these great trilogies...
Sergio Leones `Man with no name trilogy (AKA Spaghetti Western Trilogy)
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Indiana Jones trilogy
George Romero`s `Dead trilogy`
Die Hard trilogy

One trilogy I forgot was the...
Mad Max trilogy, these films kick ass, especially Mad Max 2 (AKA The Road Warrior).

Sorry I had to go with The Matrix as Lord of the Rings just left out too much from the books for me to like it that much, Star Wars is technically no longer a trilogy so that counts that out as even if you were to only count 3 of the films I'm not sure which trilogy you'd be on about (1-3 or 4-6)
I really only liked the first 2 films of The Matrix but of the 3 options it's the one I find the most enjoyable to watch.

Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead.
I don't like incorperating Land of the Dead with them because I really don't feel it counts.

I like Star Wars. Although if you include the older movies it's not a trilogy I'm talking about either set of movies. They're excellent.

Lord of the Rings. Actually I'm reading the books and I finished the Two Towers last night and I'm on chapter three of the Return of the King right now.
My fav horror movie trilogy is the Scream trilogy. The first movie is the best!

I like the original Star Wars Trilogy (Episodes IV, V, VI) as of how revolutionary they were, don't get me wrong, the new Trilogy was cool (and it had General Grievous ) but all of the stuff that it had used already had existed.
