If you're smart, what you'll do is this:

Get as much shit as possible before you move out! Accumulate a wardrode and a bad ass music archive. Maybe even get a few choice pieces of furniture, then and only then, feel free to move out! Kids, we don't really realize how good we've got it til we've been out in the world awhile. If I could do things over again, I would've stayed at home and gotten a job sooner(moved out at 16) and spent my money on clothes, shoes and whatever else I could acquire before moving. I moved out with practically nothing and it's hard to replace material goods when you're on your own.

Good advice, Wolf.

I guess then it's definitely a good thing that I got lots of goods for my apartment for Christmas. And I myself have been collecting furniture for when I planned to move out for over a year. That all has paid off. Now I have amongst many other useful pieces of furniture, a wonderful (though slightly damaged) white leather chair and matching ottoman.

Needless to say, my color scheme seems to be black and gunmetal gray. So a slip cover might be in order for the chair and the ottoman. Even my plates and black and white bowls fall into the neutral color scheme.

Clothes.

I've become a whore for clothing.
I got wireless headphones for which I still require batteries, and a gift card to a Canadian music store chain.

That sums up my Christmas, and I'll be damned if it wasn't a magnificient haul. Two sweaters, one plain brown with beige and orange lining, and the other a rag-tag piece of symmetrical beauty. It was described to me as being gothic, but it has no black to it whatsoever; gorgeous.

I got two t-shirts, one stating "I have decided to put myself in charge." and another "Date me before I'm famous" from my sister.

I got two wonderful jackets, one more formal than the other, but both are great. One is black and three quarter length, the other is gray with some orange to it.

I got two other tshirts, which I love passionately as they are plain, yet extremely comfortable, and a button up shirt for casual wear.

Eeeehehehehehe... I feel positively giddy at the fashion prospects represented in this.

caveat:
Wolfie's plan only works if your parents have money to buy you stuff, or if you work while still getting a free ride at your parents' house.

I went for a totally different plan when I moved nearly two years ago: I took only what fit in my small car (a Mazda Protege). I took about 1/4 of my wardrobe, some kitchen and bath items, a few CDs, my computer, and my dog.

I left behind the worn furniture, the thrift store couch, the hand-me-down microwave, and all the other old crap I'd lived with my whole life. I left behind the bad neighborhood, the vacant houses, the smell in the air, and 24 years of bad memories.

Arriving 750 miles away, I started anew. I got a job. I got an apartment. I discovered the joys of Ikea and furnished my place with brand-new stuff... not top-of-the-line, of course, but NEW!

Getting a fresh start by leaving almost everything behind really worked for me.

You guys know I'm into Family Guy and A Clockwork Orange, right?

Well, Gemini got me a shirt that has STEWIE DRESSED UP LIKE LITTLE ALEX. I just about cracked her ribs I hugged her so hard. I didn't know they made anything like that, so I freaked out and was jumping around like a giddy school girl.

I'll post a picture of it when I can.

Having lived in Australia, of course I'm crazy 'bout sheep, but I don't do poultry of any kind. Live or dead, so don't push the subject. And it wasn't me who screwed all the bunnies in Australia either. I ain't been there for over a decade.

I'm with Manimal. Just stitch her up, wash her and send her over.
At least I don't have to teach the basics.
D'you teach her any special tricks at all, like how not to gag while deep-throating and such?

I'm great. I derail a thread about christmas into deep-throating techniques.

I'm really classy!
