It's true that not all men will slow down knowing that someone's a virgin - some are assholes, others are just inexperienced. I broke my own, and was able to go so slowly it barely hurt at all. It's good advice if you're worried about the pain.

I think it's rather damaging to place such a high value on one's virginity. I kind of felt like it was bothersome...but I was always told that a guy would "never love me" if I wasn't a "virgin" (meaning: hymen fully intact) until our wedding night or some crap.

So yeah...so much for that wonderful bit of knowledge floating around in my head until I was 18.
