The bible almost never mentions Judas, and when they do, they bash him pretty bad, when Mary annoints jesus with a perfume it says
Quote:
But one of his disciples, Judas Iscarisot, who was later to betray him, objected, "Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a years wages." He did not say this beause he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

That can be found in John:12.
And, just so you know, the book of John was written somewhere between 90 and 100 A.D., about 70 years after the death, John wasn't even likely one of the original 12, as the life expectancy was not very old back in the bible times, so how would he even know Judas was taking money for himself. No one likes Judas because it's more or less his fault Jesus died, which brings me to my next point.
Had Jesus not died, the religion would not have been made, or not be so big, Judas could easily have been doing gods work by betraying Jesus, because, for the religion to work, Jesus had to die, making him the worlds biggest Martyr, and rise from the grave, showing he was in fact divine. That was the plan all along, if you ask me, Judas jump started the religion.
