With a spoon. I love Ben and Jerry's. Oh gawd, I'm such a sad little penguin.
Teehee, it's funny.

The friend liked me, so she asked for my email. After some time she wanted to meet me in person, and my cousin told me to go with them to the mall.
I met her friend, and she was cute, but I fell in love with a friend she brought along.
At first it was only physical attraction. She was a goddess. She has the best lips I have ever seen. I wanted to taste them.
I still remember the first time I felt her skin. That same day, we had to cross in the middle of a busy street (there's no such thing as jaywalking in mexico that I know of) and my cousin just crossed daringly with a lot of traffic coming. The pretty girl didn't want to stay behind so she almost jumped into the street without seeing all the cars just seconds from reaching her, but I grabbed her hand and pulled her back and said "Not yet; I don't want anything bad to happen to you"
We waited until there were no cars to cross.
She never let go of my hand during our wait.
I became friends with her. She liked me too, for some time maybe even more than I liked her.
Nothing ever happened.

I love stories like that. You are a true romantic! Too bad it had an anti-climactic ending.

Funny -- I was through with love when I met my hunny (isn't that always the way?) Anyhoo, so I was on myspace and a friend of mine told me to check out a site called hot or not and rate photo's there. It sounded fun and interesting, I mean, there's nothing a human being likes more is to feel better than/less the someone else...lol...so I went, perused, rated, and eventually figured I'd post a pic and see what kind of feedback I got. I didn't know people could message you until after -- I can't recall if I set up an account then or if you had to set one up to rate, but soon after I started checking messages.
It was interesting to say the least.
I've done the on-line dating thing before, and learned quickly that, unless you were willing to spend tons on eharmony, you were only going to find playahs, guys who were supposedly "new in town" who were just trying to hook up.
I got disgusted with it and left that scene alone. Many of the emails were of the same caliber as the ones I got on previous dating sites, but I wanted to perform a little test. I wrote these guys back and gave them a ton of information about myself, including links to my music, art writing, anything I could think of -- then I waited for response. Out of the twenty or so who wrote back NOT ONE had even visited my sites, and if they had, they had only done so, in my opinion, to look at my pictures and glean interesting facts, not to learn anything about me. I knew because I would ask very specific questions, and they didn't have the answers -- until my current hubby that is. He wrote me and I could tell he had sat down, read my work, looked at the art, learned about me -- took the time...it let me know he was sincere in wanting to get to know me, because men only after sex don't do that -- they figure charm alone will aid them in scoring. Hunny in turn, told me tons about himself. I gave him my phone number and we talked for hours. We set up a date, and went to a place called Smokey Bones to eat, where we sat and talked until they closed the place up ...I remember thinking at the end of the date, that I felt nervous around him -- actually hoped he liked me -- I hadn't felt that way in a long time. Time wore on and I saw it wasn't an act-- he was a genuinely warm, sincere, sweet fun, funny and loveable guy -- a rare jewel. I snatched him up asap -- we've been married a couple of years now and it still feels like a honey moon -- we have a beautiful baby girl to boot, and I feel like the luckiest woman alive!

Wow Rae he sounds like a keeper. I wish the best for both of you.
Hold onto to him. It sounds like life and love are treating you well.

I thought I found love a few times.
The last was a with a writer. There was something about his words that seemed to lure me. Perhaps I wanted to get to know the entrenched youth within. He was suffering, and every sentence seemed to tug at my heartstrings. Jitters seemed to flow down my spine every time my eyes met his pages. It was inexplicable; I had never been more happy to live, and yet, I've never been so somber that I could remember. We were reading each other, in a sense, line by line. And the words spread upon my face like an addiction. I needed to touch him, see him, feel him. Each minute without the lure of those lulling syllables was another moment spent in the pangs of despair. But I was in denial. He was terror; he was euphoria. His name was sheer bliss. He was the sun on a pristine summer day, and the echo in winter's distant haze. He was bleakness, and the omnipresent light. I knew it was tangible when he wrote his last sentence, and my eyes began to weep uncontrollably; my body contorting until my knees formed a cradle-like shape. And before I knew it, I been driven to a feat I have not done since I was little; I prayed. For myself, and for him. Even the renewing daylight seemed to echo his voice. Though I knew not the sound, or the direction from whence it came. My only solace- his words, and the hope that some day, our paths would meet again.

That was a very poetic response, and a very tragic story. I hope you can meet him again, and have a good relationship with him. Good luck.

Brandon was my brother's friend...... Well, My brother was friends with HIS brother and then Brandon also became his friend. He's had a crush on me since I was 15. My mom took us to the Mall so the boys could go to the video game store and My mom and I went to Joann Fabrics. When we went to pick them up from the mall, Brandon Noticed my terribly short skirt and terribly Big Boots, and tried to catch a glimpse when I got into the car. I was 15 at the time and he was 20. We started dating when I was 16 and he was 21. Now I am 17 (almost 18) and he is 22. We have an apartment together and might be having a baby together. But We have our wedding set for Next July.

Honestly, I don't think he was.
And thank you, biohazard, for the well-wishing. To you, I bid a general good luck.

I met Jake at this leadership adventure week that Christopher Newport University has for the students who have been accepted into their presidential leadership program and I became really good friends with this girl (I call her muffin) who was in his leadership group. They were having a movie night for the group and muffin invited me along. Jake was trying to get me to pay attention o him and I ended up shushing him so that we could actually hear the movie and so pretended that I had hurt his feelings and went and sat in the corner away from everyone to try and get me to try and cheer him up. I didn't. I watched the movie.
Anyway after the week was over I really hadn't spent much time with him at all (this tends to be a common problem with two shy people). Once school started, however, we both spent a lot of time hanging out with muffin (and therefore each other) and two weeks after school started he asked me out and we have been together ever since (it will be 2 years September 8th)
