I like the Raddish party as well. Let's do this! Mybe one day we'll even get a raddish president!
Seriously though, fuck all the politics. I'm tired of this crap and I'm tired of living in a town filled with Republican's who are only Republican, because they like guns.

I need a fucking job so bad right now. I've sent out 300+ job applications in the past 2 months and not even had as much as a rejection.

TIL there's a name for it. I like radish better than moderate anyway. I actually had to look it up... you would not believe how many pages of literal radish parties I had to wade through to figure out what you guys were on about.
Jackson, good luck, I hope you find something soon.

I know what you mean Jackson. I posted my resume` months ago and finally achieved my associates last month. Until I find a decent job, I'll have to tolerate rocking a register.

I would settle for a job at a register but my previous employer was too cheap to give us registers so we used Quickbooks on our desktop and had a bag of cash (not like a paper bag, a zipper bag from the bank) so despite having cashiering experience I have no experience on a register, and since the unemployment rate here is sky high that was apparently a deal breaker for the few people who had been thinking about hiring me.
Oh well only here for another month and a half (if the government gets its shit together so we can actually get Jake's orders and the PCS office opens back up) and employment prospects on Oahu are much better.

They have registers at McDonald's.
Just a thought. I'm not being rude either. One of my first jobs was pizza delivery driving and I know how to give people change.

Um yeah even the McDonalds here aren't hiring unless you have fast food experience, which I don't. I'm more than willing to do any job but jobs are just insanely hard to come by and there are a shit ton of people looking for work so employers are able to be very, very picky.

I know what you mean. The job market here is better, yet Employers can still be more picky than ever.
One thing I used to do is put the same date to begin work as the same day I filled out the application. I'd often get hired that day. Seeming too picky about finding a job is sometimes a problem.

That sucks. Job hunting is just the *worst*, so I feel your pain! Have you tried contacting anyone back?

Yeah some of them. I speak 4 languages fluently and can't get a job, it's ridiculous. I've honestly been considering going to medical trials just to be able to make rent.

Bugger. Bugger. Bugger.
What's next? Another breath, followed by another one, then another, and another, and keep on breathing until I can find a solution.

My rants are getting tamer as my apathy grows. I'm meant to be filling out important adult forms and organising myself but I don't wanna.
I'd rather spend the indefinite future waffling and taking fake umbrage on Gnet

Hey jerk in my general vicinity, I should not have to explain why yelling "white power" isn't funny, isn't a joke and isn't even remotely acceptable behavior for decent human fucking beings. And guess what motherfucker, just because you "dated a black girl" once doesn't give you license to be an ignorant, racist, dickface, asshole, piece of shit. While we're at it can we not yell f****t at each other constantly, for fucks sake that's triggering as fuck for plenty of people, as they've been terrorized with it plenty regardless of their sexual orientation. Maybe at some point we could quit body-shaming the ladies in our group, why do you even give a fuck what she looks like, she's not here to fuck you, so why do you pick her appearance apart like it matters, seriously? Why do I have to explain basic human decency to you motherfuckers while you roll your eyes at me, sorry for having tits and something to say *eyeroll*. What the fuck happened to basic fucking empathy? Seriously. Gaaaagh! /end rant
Been getting out more, meeting new people... I still prefer the company of my cats.

Realising that a lot of the feminist theory I've read tends to be 'radical' and in a lot of ways isn't ideal. Trying to get my head around cissexist language but have been told that terms I thought were ok ('female bodied' when referring to someone with a uterus or assigned female at birth) aren't. This matters to the people I talk with.
So it seems I have a lot of reading ahead of me, and also sifting which resources are ok and which will make me sound like a jerk. It's harder because I know that people affected aren't obliged to educate me and it can be poor form to ask.

BB Let's go, the pitbulls shall keep us warm at night, whilst the cats stand watch.
Acharis - Plenty of different folks use different language to talk about their trans* status. I have a friend who uses the term "(insert gender) assigned at birth" (faab or maab) for short, she's kinda old-school though she came out while there was very little info available about gender identity stuff. I know some peeps who use m to f or f to m. When denoting one's trans status is necessary to the conversation I usually go for trans man or trans woman, as they focus on one's actual gender identity.
Terms like male-bodied or female-bodied are problematic, assumes that a whole body is either male or female, which IMO is a pretty ridiculous concept due to all the complex factors that go into "biological sex" anyway.
That's all I have for now, haven't had coffee yet.

Reading radical theory by trans and non-binary folk is a great start, I can see if I can put a list together for you later if you want.

I've found that talking to my friends helps a *lot*.. and I think that they help me because I don't shit around when I'm called out on something that I do wrong, and they see me making constant efforts to educate myself.
When I'm on the other side of the coin, I know that I have a lot of patience in dealing with people who ask for help because they want to learn and not because they want to be taught.

Thanks Ape, Saya, and Aby. Those resources would be worth a look.
I haven't bought into the TERF stuff so that's good. But I have made mistakes and while unintentional, I know they were rather shitty. (Accidental misgender, shared an article without remembering there was a transphobic bit.)

Stupid people...
Those people who just...stare at you are expected. but the ones who follow you while staring look as if they have just been hit in the head with a hammer and are currently devoid of anything intelligent to say.
It's really annoying/awkward to buy a drink only to turn around and have someone openly gawking at you. when I asked if I could help them they said "Do you know you look like a vampire?" idiots...

On the edge of the Rockies, so we can watch the sun come up in the mornings
Azrath, you should give them sarcastic remarks in reply. Such as, "I look like a vampire? Damn, I was hoping to look like (insert random celebrity name)"
