Hi, I need some serious hairstyling help. I'm tired of having the same old boring "regular" haircut. I'm a boy and I have medium length brown hair, does anyone have ideas for a whacki kind of hairdo that I can do in a short amount of time ( i need to be able to do it before school), that I can also just leave down if I feel like it? I would greatly appreciate it!

So I dyed my hair blue-black this weekend. The two previously blonde streaks in the front are now bright blue, and the rest of it is a dark bluish color.
Originally, I tried to do just the underside blue-black, and bleaching the rest of it with the possibility of the ends of the bleached being pink or purple or something, but that's a rather difficult task to accomplish by oneself. ^^;;;;

Alright so the stickied thread said that I should just find a thread with the basic idea about what I should post, and put it in there. lol
Anywho, I've been growing out my hair for a while (almost 2-3 years, and I've gotten sick of long hair, so I'm curious as to what everyone would recommend. =]
P.S. I'll give you guys a pic as soon as I can. ;D

If you really just want something crazy and different (that will look good on you) is to find a stylist you like and tell them that you want a change and that they can do whatever they think will look best on you. You can end up with a really interesting look that is tailor made just for you

OK so, I'm very content with having long hair, but just out of curiosity, is there any good gothy hairstyles that are SFW?
Keep in mind, I work at a law office.

I think there's quite a few, actually. You can do a Google picture search of 'Corporate Goth'. Also, take a gander at this site, which is specifically designed for corporate Goths.
Also, this article about a particular corporate Goth may inspire you in general. [I too work in the corporate world, so I feel your pain..]

Having jobs where you can dress however you want to is always quite nice, and knowing that it is possible for such a person to aqcuire a job like that is quite inspiring. ^____^

Question for you all! ^^
Would I look good with a deathhawk?
Here's a pic: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/Image004.jpg
And if that wouldn't look good on me, give me an idea of what you think would look good on me, cause I don't want to let the hairdresser do as they please. xD
Thank you, anyone who helps. ^^
P.S. Two days after I took this picture I dyed my hair black again. xD

Ok, the last time I went to the hairdresser, she told me that whatever I do, I cannot bleach my hair. Seeing as I want vibrant, pretty hair, this is kind of bad. So has anyone used Manic Panic of Special Effects without bleach? And if so, how well did it turn out? And would that damage my hair any more than already damaged?
Bleaching would be completely out of the picture. Most of it would probably break off if I did bleach. But what if I got it deep conditioned? I tried asking the hairdresser all of this, but she really wasn't getting me. She did a nice job cutting it though.

MP: Hit or miss in regards to staying power/color what with it being vegetable based (i.e. on average colors can wash out pretty quickly on healthy undamaged hair and sometimes the color might look different like Raven-black can fade out to a greenish color once slapped on your head)
http://www.manicpanic.com/classic%20...20formula.html-Here, you can click on the jars to see what works for you but down at Vampire Red you can see how someone did it without bleaching
SE: In regards to brightness, people say it's a lot better and some report that they were able to slap it on without bleaching first and their natural hair is pretty dark.
http://www.amphigory.com/special_effects_hairdye.html-An enormous gallery of people sporting the colors with and without bleach
Punky Colors: I've heard that this is just as good as Special Effects.
http://www.amphigory.com/punky_colour_hairdye.html
Splat: I've seen it in drug stores and looks on par with Punky Colors and I understand it's vegan friendly (if you care)
Fudge: About the same as the other two above and usually sold in Empire Beauty Supply or other out of the way beauty supply stores but they've got the requisite crazy shades.
http://www.funkyshop.com/fudge.html
Jazzings (Clairol): What little I've seen in color is okay but red, blue and pink are really the best you're gonna get. But there's also a gloss available if you really wanna bring out your natural color.
Miss Clairol/Complements Color Intensifier and Prompter-Use in conjunction with the color and you'll bring out the undertones of the color (Black Azure has blue/violet undertones so this'll work) The only caveats are you have to use developer for each of those products and usually only available at Sally Beauty Supply.
But this is good because a lot of the workers there can help you with advice and maybe even get around the developer problem.
http://www.ravenmoon.us/agf/gothfash5.03.html-Fairly old but still useful all the same.
I have to use these links too since I sometimes get my hair relaxed and can't touch hair bleach either.

I just dyed my hair dark violet and it looks great. I recommend it for anyone like me who looks like they have a helmet on with black hair because it is too short.

Thinking about getting a hawk
It would probably be as wide as the distance between my pupils. About nine inches high or so. So out of curiosity, what's a very good, very strong hair gel/spray that I can wash out at night? I would use the good ol' knox method, however, aside from the interesting advantage of being able to make your hair somewhat bulletproof, it takes too long to get out.
