I'm so gothically surreal my cat is made of black triangles, my food has black roses growing out of it (a la Emergence of Narcissus) and my face has to be held up with razor blades.

Yay! I think I might go and watch some myself. Or perhaps some Monty Python. I've been thinking a lot lately about Anne Elk's theory ("The brontosaurus is very thin at one end, much, much thicker in the middle, and thin again at the other end. That was my theory I hope you enjoyed my theory. It is mine, I made it... etc, etc").

V for Vendetta!!!
* le sigh* I loved that film, I watched it on the plane coming back from London. I do believe I almost cried at the end..
I normally don't like films with a political theme in them but that movie was brilliant.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November...
I'm investigating about Guido Fawkes right now. Apparently, some thought Shakespeare might have been one of the conspirators, and thus, Shakespeare wrote Macbeth as an effort to please King James.

Here's my randomness for the day. I haven't been on in a while, so I thought I would check in to see if anything interesting was happening. Seems no news is good news, lately, so I'm out for now.
Just checking in.

No, no - I meant GNet. That's the "you" that that paragraph is referring to.
Like I said, I understand your position, Magpie. But their post annoyed me, being as it was patronising, hypocritical, and too little too late.

Hey Jillian - I read in another thread that you're going to Europe soon, right? Where in Europe are you going?

Nice timing. This is going to be my last post on my hometown, I think.
I'm leaving today at about 4:00 a.m.
Visiting the traditional places: Rome, Paris, London, and this cool town in Austria and a lake in Switzerland.
See you all in a while. I'll look for a Café Internet or something.

This is not quite on subject, but this thread is called Randomness........
My cat is just eating a HUGE night butterfly just in front of my face (on my table!) and there is also an absolutely enourmous turtle crawing around the whole day in the garden that my windows looks on to.
o! No, the cat is no longer eating the thing....it namely flew off. I can't quite comprehend that, because the last thing I remember was that it's wings were bitten off. Strange how creatures act in extreme situations.
And all that drama without even having to move from my table!

You probably won't get to read this post, but do you mean Vienna? Because if so, I could tell which places here are most worth visiting.

Oh, the poor butterfly (I love butterflies)! At least it managed to fly off.

I absolutely hate butterfyies...but I do have respect for this one...it managed to fly without wings afterall!
My cat is now absolutely depressed and keeps running around and saying a desperate "mmmrrriaw" every few minutes. When she's like that I am ready to catch the butterly for her.

Hey Jillian, good luck on your trip - can't wait to hear about all the cool places that you get to see. And you have to taste the REAL italian pizza. It's supposed to be way better than what we get.
How long is the plane trip? I'm laving for America in 11 days and the trip is 24 and a half hours. I'm so not looking forward to that...

Real Italian pizza is the best. Pizza Hut can't really be called 'pizza' in comparison. But really it's the pasta that is purely amazing there. Italy has got to be one of my favourite countries just for the food alone. Add a few Renaissance cathedrals and Roman ruins and you have my favourite place on earth.
Edit: Oh and the beautiful people! My oh my, I would marry an Italian gentleman in an instant. And not just for the EU passport.

But what about dear Oscar Wilde, he'll feel unloved....how's the revival plan going?
