Go to my thread in the fashion. I believe I stated why it is not a made up culture. I beleive that Steampunk is one and I beleive that it is rightfully growing slowly but surely.

You know what just crossed my mind; what if punks had a similar conversation like this about post-punk or goth, whatever you would like to call it. Now that would be strange wouldn't it. xD

I agree with taking identity in a group too far, but then again, it is possible to be yourself and just have one or more of them as [an] interest[s].
