We have a one year old Staffordshire Terrier* named Jager (Like the liquor). She is a beautiful brindle, with a white "tuxedo" patch on her chest, and white tips on three of her paws. She has the most amazing personality, and gets along great with kids. We also have a 13 year old solid grey cat who goes by the moniker of Baby Kitty ( yes, yes, I know). Up until last week, we also had a betta named Pisces the Third, (yes, there were previously an I and a II) but somehow his bowl got turned over, and he died of dehydration before we got home that day. poor fish. we had him for 2 and 1/2 years.
I am pondering a Pisces IV, however, I think it may be time for something new. does anyone here know anything about iguanas? I'd get another python ( had one years ago) but my fiance isn't crazy about the idea.
My roommate also has two chinchillas. They have the softest fur imaginable.

Strange, I thought Cicero would have jumped on this thread already...
I have a grey cat named Shanox. Not sure how old he is now, but he has a tooth that sticks out of his mouth from when he got caught in a rabbit trap and kicked in the face =s People suck

I was too overcome with disappointment at the thread not being about either a) Rozz Williams or b) our most beloved clubland >_>
Anyway between 2 countries I have six cats and four dogs (one is really my roommate's, but I've been looking after him). One of the cats likes to eat feet, another is retarded, and one of the dogs tried to save me while I was pretending to drown in the ocean rather unconvincingly.

Don't worry.. most of my friends are at least in their mid-twenties
I get along much better with older people.

Good morning everyone. Or mourning or what have you. :^) "I get along much better with older people."
I figured I was being a drama queen. Sorry! You are so nice!
So there is a thing with grey cats here. Mine is 18 years old and beginning to show her age. She's a Russian Blue cross named Grey Kitty. While I love cats this one sometimes nags me to insanity but hey sanity is highly overrated.

Even when I was three or four, I preferred talking to adults. I have never really gotten along with people my own age. My step dad says I act older than his 34 year old son.
I have a half-Siamese all-black kitty. She is EVIL.
My first cat was a grey tabby, though.

Hey, Korinna! Just got in my daily hike uphill, in this case, as twice a week, for breakfast with my 13-YEAR-OLD SON! :^) EL oh well! Brendan is his name, by the way. I realized that I was being silly and superficial to myself by dramatizing the age thing. I am who I am and don't fit anyone's mold. And never have and never will.
His mom and I are divorced but generally get along well. We were discussing how strange it is that we feel like the same people pretty much that we've always been but that time seems to fly. You will get that especially as a parent. Somehow I always thought that my son would be the little boy that he was, and they grow up so fast it will make your head spin!
On the one hand I worry about overpopulation (Did not intend to bring an innocent into this world.), but on the other I think it's awesome that you are clearly very nurturing. Are you at all Pagan? My main deity is Gaia and I could see your motherliness and your love of animals (Not entirely separate concepts really.) as relating to that path very well.

How did you know?
I was drawn to it from a very young age. My patron goddess/one I work with most is Rhiannon.
In my opinion, age is nothing and maturity is everything.
I seriously can't wait to have children of my own. I am ready even now.. except.. my man is far away.. XD
Justin and I have also discussed adopting at least one or two. I would love to do that..

OH! Stupid me.. I forgot to mention my dear hedgehog, who sadly passed away last year. His name was Danny Boy, and he was an Algerian Chocolate. I will post pics when I get home.
I want another one, and am looking at HER:

Hi! :^) I will need to get moving here soon. Like AWAY from the computer! I am addicted to this thing.
The hedgehog is very cute, of course! I'm a cab driver and did once give a ride to a guy who had bought a pen for his hedgehog. He was talking about what great pets they are. I had this thing for flying squirrels, or "sugar gliders" for a time, and discovered that they are available as pets. I would want high ceilings for that though so they could glide about. (Would certainly be unusual!)
Sorry that Justin is removed from you. Am hoping it's not a military issue. I was going to mention the adoption option. You are obviously a girl who needs the experience of motherhood, too, though.
Must get busy... soon.

I miss my hedgie..
Sugar gliders SMELL.. oh gods. But they are very cute and SOFT!
Justin is still living with him mom.. he doesn't have the money to move out here yet. No military though.. we are both against it.. being pacifists, and all.
I can't wait.. BABIES! I want at least two of my own.
I would also like fostering children..

Hey. They shtink, huh? Did not know that. You do seem to be very knowledgable about animals. I do recall seeing flying squirrels in North Carolina long ago. They were all flying and stuff. Was pretty cool.
Glad it's not an overseas fighting "terrorism" scenario. (Ew!)
You seem baby obsessed! Which is kind of sweet. As gifted as you obviously are at mothering adoptees there are wee-uns out there who would benefit from your talents.
I am going to TRY to not be on this thing constantly. Do need to be more productive. But I will be in touch... assuming I'm not actually on here all the time still. It would be a bit but I'd still like to show you some pics. Might require scanning them somewheres and stuff. Have a good one and thanks for chatting, Korinna. May you have many babies. :^)

Bah humbug. Your age doesn't matter a thing to me and it probably doesn't matter to anyone else. If it did we'd be shunning you. =]
I myself am quite young. I'm not sure what the mean age of this forum is, but I am just slightly older than your son.

I do and have always agreed. When I was 12-14 I had a boyfriend who during that time was 16-18. It was obvious to us and everyone around us that I acted much more mature than he.

Girls generally seem more mature than boys of course! I sometimes think that many of us males never really grow up. Which can be good and bad! How do you endure us though really? :^)

I've always had more guy friends than girls because girls seem to have an intense desire to turn everything into a problem. But guys are fine as long as I'm not dating them. Loving whilst dating that whom you love is hard! There's always jealousy, mood swings, etc.
Hence why I'm single.

Um. Just found your previous "Bah humbug" post in my e-mail after replying to the above. It is truly appreciated. The weird thing is that I am very young for my age. Sometimes it feels odd, but I'm just who I am and always have been.
My last relationship was with a much younger, (Legal) girl. It seemed to bother some people but she initiated it and I loved her very much; was good to her. She was deeply troubled, crazy, in some ways wonderfully, unique. I tried to help her. She is kind of up a creek now I'm afraid.
I expect that you, and my son, are much closer to the average age on here. Oh well! :^) Have agood one, Mirrorsandmonoxide.

I really must get out the door, BUT, you may see it all that way now and find as you get older that... you STILL see it that way. El oh well! It seems a constant aspect of the human condition that we pine for love when alone and desire solitude when with someone. What is up with that?! Maybe we are cursed creatures by nature. Will probably feel drawn to the computer after work. L8rs.

See?! Sorry about that, sugarplum. :^) It actually says that I can receive messages from other members. And said that last night. I swear that sometimes these internet things themselves are all fucked up.
I mean, you could always try e-mailing kaneslatranz at Yahoo know what I mean? Or try here again.
