A Poem:
By: Pγαv MκΔovαλδ
Why, Oh Death? Why?
When will you come?
This dead, worthless soul is waiting.
Why, Oh Death? Why?
When will you come?
People wish this soul off.
Why, Oh Death? Why?
When will you come?
I can feel your icy breath.
Why, Oh Death? Why?
When will you come?
This dead, worthless soul is waiting.
Why, Oh Death? Why?
When will you come?
People wish this soul off.
People wish this soul off.

Here's one i wrote years ago, inspired by a greek word mentioned in my mythology class. I'm more a lover of words than a writer of any sort, but here goes nothing.
SPARAGMOS
Ennui
Sometimes, when we kiss
I feel compelled
to tear it out.
His heart, twitching in my palm
His flesh, dangling from my nails
His blood, flooding my aching senses
I close my eyes and swallow,
filling the hole in my heart,
with his soul.
Love, Lust, Passion
What is the difference?
Eventually, there is nothing.
It was never his blood I tasted,
thick and sweet on my tongue
It was my own.
And the hole in my heart...
It widens.
------------------------
Now, to explain the title.
spuh-RAHG-mohs] The ritual tearing asunder of a young male sacrificial victim, a dismemberment associated with Osiris, Dionysus, Pentheus, and Orpheus, as well as numerous Near Eastern dying and rising gods, such as Attis, Tammuz, and Adonis.
This is the literal definition, however a Greek student in my class said it has another meaning today which is "to be torn apart by grief". This really spoke to me as I tend to love with a passion so great that i sometimes have felt like i wanted to tear them to pieces and eat them. :O But, love can also hurt and leave one feeling that their heart has been torn out. Anyway, it's a cool word and it inspired me.

coridially implied
To seldom speak of times ago,
and cater to the down and quill
will coerce chords to wander out
unto the pathways of the mind,
And from it, quotes the maverick still,
to dawn the implication frail
or drain a master, swift and drab,
with dormant egos left to find.
For crawling forth, the undulated,
describing ageless face sans name,
a demonized and catatonic
shrill beneath the dearest fame--
Such dithered flame, a countless door,
derived the method stuck and calm;
from which such circuits wind the hands
and bid the dreamways step from sun.

This is actually quite good. With subtle changes I'd wager it could probably beat out other really good ones, were there some kind of contest.

I quite liked the frenzied flow of this; the underlinning form to the free vrese gives the second person point of view a surrealistc, haunted tone. Thanks for sharring it :]

Not my best
Song to a Deaf Night Goddess
The sun is falling
You might construe
That Nyx is coming
In her dress of black and blue
The stars appear
Upon our sight
As is Night's veil tears
revealing light
The light of Night's eyes
The glowing of her skin
Which glow in abundance, despite Nyx's tries
To look dark and lonely and thin
She embraces the world with a kiss
In such a loving fashion
In some she instills loneliness
In others, romance and passion
Nyx, my muse
You inspire me profue
Tell me you won't go away
Ignore Apollos chariot and stay

Everyone has one.
An addiction,
A craving.
A cynical smile
Nymphonic at best.
Resplendent at least.
Addictive.
Not obssessed with.
Communication leads to wonder,
Leads to thoughts and paths.
Lit at the tip.
Makes you want more.
Almost cancerous.
A little bit teases.
Too much can hurt.
Happens to some.
A little here and there is a pain.
Again it can be addictive,
But again I doubt obssesion.
Hopin to hold between lips.
Already beheld behind eyes.

Sparagmos... interesting word, ennui. I like the passion of your writing and I can relate to the feeling of love being overwheming and even frightening.

I like it, Xng! You've created a strong image in my mind with only a few well-chosen words. I rather like the thoughtful sparsity of haiku.

Corpse
The rotting corpse beckons me to come near,
its' open mouth tells me I have nothing to fear.
Its' sunken eyes stare up at me,
as I wonder what it did last see.
The smell of rot fills the air,
as it still searches for someone to care.
The vultures circle overhead,
they've come to feast upon the dead.
Why am I drawn to such a sight,
who is this that beckons me on this night?
What once was flesh is now decay,
as I approach and next to it lay.
One's alive~the other's dead,
tonight these vultures will be well fed.

Satan's Lullabye
Hush-a-bye hush-a-bye
little one don't you cry,
For in the darkness I am here
trust in me and do not fear.
Those who loved you in your past
their love for you did not last,
This time though it's not the same
believe in me I play no game.
I offer you a place to heal
and give to you a love that's real,
I offer you the comfort you seek
I'll make you strong instead of weak.
Fall asleep within my arms
and I'll see that no one harms,
you ever again in any way
as long as to me you now pray.
Trust in me and you will see
my love for you shall set you free,
Now let me sing you fast asleep
and forever more shall you I keep.

Vampiric Rhapsody
The sound of your nails clicking
sends shivers of ecstacy throughout me,
And each bite that you take
becomes such a delicious melody.
"You make my teeth grow,"
you savagely whisper in my ear,
Why do I feel such lust
instead of cowering in fear?
There is no place on earth
that I would rather be,
For I've found such passion
within your vampiric rhapsody.

My Vampyre's Love Song
Come lay down beside me
and kiss me your sweet kiss,
Never could I have expected
a lover to make me feel like this.
Your melody has no words
yet a love song you sing to me,
For your love's captured my essence
and all of me I give to thee.
Each breath you breathe upon me
sends shivers down my spine,
And when you graze my skin so gently
the pleasure is oh sublime!
You need no words to serenade
for you sing me a love song just the same,
My darkest most passionate vampyre
only you can set my body aflame.

Crimson Red
I cry crimson red
because there are no tears left inside,
I bleed from deep within
blood stained tears for you I've cried.
My heart spurts crimson red
as it aches with so much pain,
Left with lingering thoughts of you
to slowly drive me insane.
As I lay here now so still
drowning in a pool of crimson red,
Wondering if thoughts of you
will still haunt me once I'm dead.

Bring on the Pain
Bring on the pain
for I can't hurt any more,
Bring on the pain
can't feel behind my door.
I've bled all that I can bleed
cried all the tears inside these eyes,
Heard all I want to hear
can't stand any more of your lies.
Pain makes me feel alive now
it can no longer destroy me,
The deeper the wound
the clearer I can see.
So bring on the pain
it's the only thing I feel,
Bring on the pain
it's the only thing that's real.

Lost Soul
She lies awake at nite
thinking of just where to place the gun
under her tongue
behind her ear
inside her mouth
swallow it
eat it
one last crash of pain
to end it all
or will it ever end
does madness ever end
does hell ever end
even when the blood comes
even when the heart stops beating
stops aching
oh my god…does it…will it…ever end?
