Literature Please come visit. People get upset, write poetry about it, and post it here. Sometimes we also talk about books. |

Over the months I haven't been here, I finally finished Angels & Demons by Dan Brown! It was quite the thrilling read. Right now I'm just reading a 62 page christian literature booklet called Heaven And Hell: What Does The Bible Really Teach?
Its very interesting, it talks about whether Hell is eternal, if heaven happens immediately after death or until the ressurection, just basically, the afterlife and beyond. Its quite interesting. You can order it if you're interested in reading it as well: http://www.ucg.org/booklets/

Life Among the Pirates: The Romance and the Reality by David Cordingly. This was a book I should have read a long time ago. But does it corrupt my fantasy of one day owning a pirate ship and sailing the world? Not at all.

I am reading Withers Rain by J. Passarella
My opinion:
It is OK.
It is not at all horrible.
It is not something phenomenal either.
It is right down the middle.
Has anyone ever read the Wendy Ward novels by this person?
What do YOU think?

I am reading the second book in the Eldest series. I already read Eragon and now I am reading Eldest. I absolutely love the book so far. I loved the first one, they are really good books.

Eldest wasn't as appealing to me as Eragon, it just was boring to me.
I am reading "The astonishing adventures of Fanboy and GothGirl. Its a signed copy i got at a book signing Barry Lyga did in my area at the musuem of art and lit. Its actually a very good book that has an interesting story to it.

I'm just reading "Communion" by Whitley Strieber. Not too sure why, but it's the only book that's managed to keep my attention lately, so I figure....why not?

I've been stuck on a weird bounce around pattern, going from reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, to "Rainbow Six" by Tom Clancy, to "War and Peace" by whoever it was, to "Clear and Present Danger" also bt Clancy, to "Rifles for Watie" by Harold Keith, to "The Sum of All Fears", also by Clancy.
I like Tom Clancy.

I'm currently reading "Into The Great Unknown". It's about John Wesley Powell's first trip down the Green and Colorado Rivers. Mmmmmm whitewater books. I'm also reading Steven King's "Insomnia" for about the fiftieth time.

STILL reading The Complete Tales and Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe. That guy sure wrote a LOT. And I am learning how damn funny he could be too! He wrote a lot of humor, not just horror. I read Some Words with a Mummy last night, and tonight I will read The Literary Life of Thingum Bob Esq.
What a satirist!

Just bought Stephen Baxters "Coalescent". I liked his book "Light of other days". I recommend it if anyone wonders what a world with no secrets would be like...

"The Light Fantastic" by Terry Pratchett. It's quite good, as humour-fantasy sequels go. I was reading a kids' fantasy book a few days ago, but I can't remember the name. It had a character called Raffi in it, but that'all I can remember. It couldn't have been that great then, I suppose!

A book I have had for about 3 years now. It's called Buckaroo Heart by Rick Steber. It sucks, unless you like western romances. But I have to read it for my humanities class. T_T

I have just started The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I really enjoyed The Winter of Our Discontent, so I thought I'd read something else by him. I'm still trying to find Edgar Allan Poo for my two yearold. Humane, can you give me some help?

It is a webcomic (not hardcopy), here is the link:

You can always print them out, so that you may read them bedside to your 2 year old.
I fully intend to read them to my grandchild when he is old enough!
