My husband will be home in 8 days! *Does a happy dance*

I know a guy that's dressing up in a chicken costume for a magazine shoot today.

Attention:

There has been a private matter that has been taking place recently within the forum.

This affects very few parties that are still here so I request that everyone steer clear of comments and judgement. What The OL posted was slanderous and untrue, as he has not seen but a fraction of everything that has taken place, as is the same with just about all of you.

I assure you that there are many people working this out, and interference is neither wanted nor warranted, so please just leave it be.

Thank you.

Well, ah, hm... good, I suppose. I just have this tendency to laugh uncontrollably whenever I see them or even think about them. I'm trying not to grin just typing this.

I even bought myself a little chicken shaped backpack for a bit of aversion therapy, but it didn't work. My poor mates went through hell when we all went to see "Chicken Run" when it came out. 30 seconds in (And I mean 30 seconds!) and I was a hysterical lump. My asthma gave me serious jip the next day from all the laughing.

If my husband ever wants to see me lose touch with reality, he just has to do (imitates chicken noise) "P' Kahhh!"

Laughter is not always the best medicine...

I guess you'll be amused with my slap hierarchy. From the simple slap to the major slap:

5-Slap
4-Bitch slap
3-Book slap
2-Chicken slap
1-Fish slap

What is a chi- cken slap?

Pardon the weird appearance of the above. I was just typing my entire reaction in. I'm still giggling like a fool, mind you.....

When you slap someone with a rubber chicken. Slapping someone with a live chicken has an extra bonus, but only if it makes a funny cluck when you get slapped.
The fish slap only counts if the fish is alive and wet.

You forgot curried snake slap and the balsa-wood slap.

*dance* I'm not aloooone!
I knew I couldn't be the only one!
I mean, even the word "chicken" have some humorous potential.
The worst for me is in french, I can control myself over a chicken, but not over a poulet. When my best friend wants me to stop thinking he justs ask me why the chicken crossed the Mobius strip (my favorite ), then you'd be sure I'll giggle for hours, screaming deseperatly "pouleeeet, pouleeeet".

Jillian, your slap story almost made me fall from my chair (I know, I should sit correctly)

Star Trek: Next Generation is almost impossible for me to watch. The Captain's name... it just sounds a little too much like... Oh no, there I go....

Do you think there's a way for us to be cured?

Probably not. :sigh:

Question is, would we want to be?

Weeell... Not properly cured but just abble to contain the giggling.
I can't control myself over chickens and belgians, it's very disturbing.
Once I laughed at a guy who told me he was belgian, and I just couldn't help it.
He said "I'm belgian" and I began to laugh, and my friends had to apologize for me...
Not to talk about my hysterical laugh when someone asked me if I wanted a chicken-mayonnaise sandwich.

Nah, I don't want to be cured, even if every one thought I was crazy (which is probably true anyway), it makes memories

I'm tempted to go out tonight. But I know that if I do, I'd have a less than brilliant time.
But I'm still vaguely tempted.

I'm obviously not nearly antisocial enough.

Let's face it clearly:

Home : computer, no friends, no life
Outside: people (like strangers and weirdos and disgusting stuff), alcohol, maybe some proper girl, low life, but still one.

Make your choice

I'd definitely be out if the local club thingummy hadn't turned quite shit.
As it is, I'll dance to three songs and probably bring a book.
Which is a rubbish idea because I can read stuff perfectly well at home.

So the best arguemnt for going out is "You might as well get out of the house".
If I were any other normal healthy antisocial type, I'd just stay in, but noooo, I have to ponder going out, just for something to do.

Nah, nothing. It's not really a good time for stuff like that. People doing the summer thing and whatnot.

I could just piss and moan online about it. That sounds like a good idea.

Meh. I'm being a moany bastard.
I can't see any real reason to go out. But still there's a vague urge just to go out anyway.

Bah.

If I go out, then I'll have something to moan about.

In fact, sod it. I've done a quick bus+cloakroom+taxi home calculation and come up with a number that's more than the night out would be worth.

Might do tomorrow at the monthly goth and industrial club thingummy instead, then. Hm. Cost is more due to location, though...guh.
