Yes, yes I would be saying the same thing if a bunch of goths got drunk and killed a jock. In fact, I did.
To me, it isn't a matter of retaliatory violence, getting even or being a deterrent. John Stuart Mill put it eloquently, so I'll quote him:

I'd like to point out BTS's point. They'll be getting a CHANCE for PAROLE in 15 years and change, no guarantees they'll get it, they might still serve life.

The sentence for Harris has already been reduced from 16 years and 3 months to 15 years. I do believe that he's appealing to get 9 months off of that.
I hope they do get parole, because then some real justice can be served the second they walk out of those gates.
By God, if I ever see those fuckers when I'm down in Bacup for my holidays....
