Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I just finished a 'Miguel and the Living Dead' patch, but have also recently made the three back patches that I'm going to incorporate into a 'Southern Death Cult' vest.
This weekend I hope to make a screen so I can start doing some printing.
Pictures later.

'Miguel and the Living Dead' patch, probably going to put this on the arm of a jacket.
Needs a little bit of clearing up though.

Einstürzende Neubauten
I've been working on my new vest:

The black area needs to be gone over again with a few more thin layers, after which I think I will put this design on that area:

From the album cover:

Needs more layers/touching up.
I've got no idea what else I'm going to add to it yet.

You need more flair!
I finished the front pocket of the backpack I'm knitting, not bad for my first time doing intarsia. Knitting with twelve balls of yarn at once isn't terribly fun, you should've seen the mess on the wrong side before I cut everything off and wove in the ends. But the hard part is over, the rest should be a snap.

Going to work on a ASF shirt, a shirt for my friend's band, and a Che Guevara shirt for one of my barista friends. Whoo whoo.

My lands. I am overwhelmed by all the talent here. I now have loads of new ideas. Huzzah!
I am a dreadful seamstress, so I mostly just modify. Scissors are my best friends. I just finished two little projects this morning, redeeming t-shirts I never wore because they fit like flour sacks. Hopefully, I shall have pics when I've completed a couple more spiffy "new" things.

Relined a pair of flats with some skully fabric, and then added velcro to the outside of the toes on each shoe. I made some pleather bows with velcro underneath so I could change the look of the shoe from day to day.

Just got a new (old) bike and am thinking about how to refurbish the thing. Came across this: http://nerdapproved.com/wp-content/u...ton-bike-2.jpg
And was wondering if anyone knew a cheap place I could get one of those model skeletons? Cheapest I've seen is like 250 bucks and that's ten times more than I spent on the whole bike. For that money I could get a brand new one.

Every year one of my friends has a birthday pub crawl, and every year there's a theme of dress. But she's simply thrown it open to fancy dress this year, so I decided upon going as a pirate since it's easy and I'm lazy.
I'm ordering a hat and pirate/wench top online, but I have made my own eyepatch complete with real crossed bones and beaded edge

I've got an Esty account, but it's not up and running at the moment. Find me on facebook ( clicky), look at the album I have set up for my shirts, and we can talk about orders
