Raygun Modifications (aww, but I *liked* Fidel Castro)
Seriously, plastic waterguns make great toy steampunk rayguns with just a bit of a repaint. Check lj community steamfashion if you don't believe me.

Tinkering (Maybe the beavers did too.. Who knows, maybe Castro was a machinaton driven by beavers.)
I had a little green, plastic Zap-gun once. Didn't need any modification, except maybe a paintjob.

Toolboxes (that's a terrible, terrible thought and I admire you all the more for it.)
Most people just go for repaints.
Me, I have grandiose ideas involving a lightgun from some elderly gaming system, some Electroluminescent wire (preferably in yellow or eerie green), and a waist-mounted battery pack/ Aether Collection Device.
Just have to buy the wire and persuade N to give me one of his old lightguns.

Spanner (I'll admire both you and the Cuban people for greeting their new overlords, the Beavers.)
That's a brilliant idea. The one's that came with NES and some of the C64 one's looks clunky enough, add some cogs and those items you mentioned and you got a gun that rise envy throughout the kingdom.

Spanner Trust (I'd prefer reptiles, but I'm just cold-blooded)
Remarkably, the lightguns for the Dreamcase also have a lot going for them in terms of customising potential.

Gothic Pogo (Not quite, but there's elements of it)
German events have funny names.

Leipzig (the red jabot does add a certain viscerally sanguine flair)
...I need a passport so I can visit WGT and Mera Luna and that thing Sol might be running in Spain and...

City (I had no doubt that you could make one.)
Oh, well. What's a gothic festival... After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull, and... and boring, and completely...

Cathedral (four varying widths of fabric+ three safety pins= done)
Did you know that in order to be classed as a city, for a long time a large town was required to have a cathedral? No longer, but it used to be that way.
Ah, whatever would I do at a goth festival anyway? I mean, it's just a gathering of bands and traders and people who share my interests to an incredible degree and.... *sobs*

Quasimodo (I wouldn't have thought of that.)
I've heard it mentioned once now that you wrote it.
Yeah, all those intelligent people which one could spend days and days with... *sighs*

Notre Dame (three layers + neckband, just need held together)
Well, I'll always have Whitby. And Woolstock. And maybe Gotham, Infest, Beyond the Veil and Aviemore Goth Weekend.
These are all small events that last Friday-Saturday-Sunday at best (though Whitby's unofficial events stretch out a few days either side) and have at most ten bands in the official listing. *sigh* They have nothing on Leipzig.
