i could say the same about a few of your posts

And who would that "We" be, may I ask?
Because we kicked Englands ass in football ages ago. And in Rugby.
So that's four times in total that we've kicked Englands ass.
And honeythorn, the slang is hardly old, because people, non-surprisingly, still use it.
JCC, unlike some kids, I don't want to be grounded for months on end for disobeying my parents. I want to go out and have fun. I don't want to be grounded and I do not want to be arrested because I actually want to go and visit my Uncle and my cousins (Whom I've never met before) in Virginia.
honeythorn, most kids are born with arrogance. Bloody deal with it.
Murasaki eyeliner, what the Hell has whiskey got to do with anything? Most people don't drink it because it's so bloody strong.

Hey, at least Morganite is being a Scottish tool by birth right.

If I hear another person who isn't Irish make a big deal about an Irish pub, my eyes will roll out of my head.

By old I meant it's been around for quite some time regardless of how many people use it now. The words have an old root. I myself use old Black country slang. This doesn't make it " new" because I am generally young(ish) .

I can't be doing with Guinness ( very fattening too and it turns your shit black ) . I prefer Murphys. I know it's reasonably similar, but for some reason I can drink it easier than Guinness. I don't have it often though.

I hate most beer. I find Old Speckled Hen, Newcastle Brown and Guinness to be the most passable.

I've tried Newcastle Brown. NASTY. It very nearly put hairs on my chest, which would not be good at all.

Well, being that I'm American, I don't know good Irish beer. BUT, I will say that it's kind of annoying to see something of the Irish culture or even any culture be reduced down to a passing fancy novelty. As if going to an authentic Irish pub makes you Irish or down with some British indy movie like "Snatch" or some shit.

From what I've seen in the states, using words such as "pub" and "flat" over "bar" and "apartment" somehow makes you more indy or something. It's fucking annoying.

I remember years ago in Boston, I was in an "Irish" pub, and someone overheard I was actually from Ireland. They asked me to sing a sad song from "The Old Country", so I sang a sad Irish song about forgetting to buy milk at the supermarket, so you have to go all the way back, all sang in Gaelic. I had them all weeping into their cups of watered down piss. No one had a fucking clue what I was saying.

LoL! I fucking love you, Duck. You're more than welcome to accompany me in patronizing those who wish so much to be Irish. You, are a hoot.

It's probably some sort of idle threat against our good health.

That's what I thought. I got into a fight with a Scot (apparently, he doesn't like people of German descent) who tried to head-butt me. He couldn't even do it right, he smacked the back of head against someone else, first, and then he hit my shoulder, which seemed to do him more damage than it did me. So for that, he calls me a "Nazi cheater."
