In Iceland we speak Icelandic
It's one of the oldest still spoken language in the world.
I can easily read books written over 700 years ago.

my bro has three books two cds that teach how to pronounce the dialect and a bunch of other stuff on the subject when you live in the middle of nowere special icelandic isnt helpfull its fun

Actually the official religion in Iceland is Lutheran protestants...since 13hundredandsomething.
Iceland became a christian country (catholic) in the year 1000, propably the only country in the world to do this peacefully.
It was the leader of the heathens who decided that we should all be christians or at least pretend to be.....

I myself was babtised as an infant...but when my sister got pregnant we both hurried and signed out of the church....that kid should never carry the burden of christian past.
And allthough 80% of the Icelandic nation belong to the church...you'll find more people who believe in elves than god.
