Um, not really.
Circumcision doesn't affect the size of useable penis. No one is having sex using their foreskin, they're using the engorged spongey tissue, which the foreskin does NOT have.

He didn't say anything about size, just that it determined whether a penis was Jewish or not.
But no, not everyone does it nowadays. In Australia I think it's pretty much obselete outside religious reasons. Yay to that.

I'm more into uncut myself. But regardless of my personal preference, I find it pretty unfair that most boys never have a choice in the matter.

Well there's a lot more to it than choice, I just tend to get a bit overly-enthusiastic when I start ranting against it and I don't want this thread turning into a circumcision debate.
In short: foreskins are good for a lot of reasons, and removing them, usually without consent, just doesn't sit well with me at all.

I onced asked my mom why boys get circumcised, and she said most men her age were, and a lot of her generation continued that tradition. I don't think its done at birth either (here at least), I remember a teacher telling me she had to get her seven year old circumcised for medical reasons, and every guy I dated was circumcised too.
Mom said it had to do with getting infections in the foreskin, and it never goes away until they cut. So she said back when she was young everyone was getting it done to get rid of infections or to prevent their babies from getting it.
And as for why its custom in Judaism, it was one of the things Abraham had to do to keep his end of the Covenant with God, and I do believe Muslims do the same (someone correct me if I'm wrong on that). But outside of religion, maybe they used it as a way of preventing/treating infection as well.

Back in the day it was pretty hard to keep that area clean, what with there being no soap or anything, and it was an awesome trap for dirt, sweat, and all kinds of other fun stuff so the foreskin was removed. These days there really isn't a reason for it as regular bathing is the norm

Hey, we shower! Its not common at birth for it to happen, though. Of all the guys I know were circumcised only one of my exes told me why and when, two years ago he kept getting an infection that wouldn't go away, so the doctors told him the only way to get rid of it was circumcision. So he went for it, and was given very powerful painkillers and couldn't get out of bed for a few days, and he said for over a month afterwards an erection would cause immense pain, and while he kept his hands off of it, every morning he'd wake up screaming >.< So maybe back then they noticed it was bound to happen when you're older and wanted to spare the kids that pain.

Guys that have been cut often tend to lose sensitivity in the head, I know people that have been circumcised that are like "At first it's quite uncomfortable and everything's really sensitive but that wears off after a while, you get used to it."
