Granted, you find it. It was hiding in your closet all the time. You're happily dancing in your living room for finding it, but a truck drives into your living room, crushing down what you had so wholeheartedly, lost and found.
I wish I was hungry.

The hunger takes the form of the Zombie/Vampire/Ghoul Hunger, you kill and consume your family in an orgy of blood and terror.
I wish I had a time machine.

you already do. too bad fluffykins the cat jumped inside, landed on the control panel, and vanished inside it, forever depriving you of its use. there's also no way to know what, if anything, has changed. this turmoil eventually leads to your suicide, moments before fluffykins returns with a much-improved cybernetic brain, and opposable thumbs, who then revives your corpse and uses it as a sort of camouflage to, ultimately, destroy humanity. way to fucking go.

Authentic inner peace, eh? Hmmmmmm I can work with that.
After a while of great thought and many attempts to gain inner peace, you soon learn how to do so; through the tranquillity of listening to Depeche Mode. There's just something about the singer's voice that radiates through your mind and down your spine that allows you to get blissful and almost immediate inner peace after listening to a few vibrant notes from any Depeche Mode song. Because of this, you start to vote for Depeche Mode in the battle of the bands. You almost get it to there, and then, 58! You almost have the chance to hall of fame it but.... an annoying young man comes along and reduces it to 56... Then 54... Slowly but surely, Depeche Mode's points start to whittle down as enthusiasm for such an action builds. Until one day, after many vain attempts to hall of fame them, they hit ZERO and are replaced by some unknown band. This devastates you. You cannot understand how DM could get such an unglorified defeat. Thus, whenever you start to engross in your attempts to re-attain your inner peace, this thought pops up. You can't shake it, however trivial it may seem at some points. In the end, you give up ever searching for inner peace.
There, that should suit and amuse.
I wish I could go eat some chocolate ice cream with a friend on the mountain skiing in a place where avalanches and sudden skiing accidents never occur and have a sinnister day.

Granted but suddenly everything Al Gore says becomes natural law and global warming takes effect melting all the snow and ice cream. You drown in the river that is formed by the melting snow.

Granted, you set out to kill the lying bastards but find that as soon as you bury the knife into the back of one guy the law is overturned by the supreme court and you're thrown into jail where you're turned into the favorite soap-picker in the shower by a guy named 'Bubba'.
I wish I knew everything in this marketing book that I have to read so I don't have to read it anymore!

I wish this summer could last forever.

Granted, but your brain would rot because of all the time you would probably spend online.
I wish I would forget about the people I've met.

No you don't. I read the final volume the other day. I'll let you find out about it but almost every single fan I've heard from or talked to was grossly disappointed, including myself.
Forget the people you've met? How about this.....
Ned Flanders comes along and places you in his rehabillitation program. In a few minutes most of your frontal cranial lobe will be removed, reducing your thoughts to an almost infantile level. You won't be able to remember them at all!
I wish to burn up the "Sempier Fidelius" portrait in the Whiteman's valley rifleclub and not die in the process.

Granted, but you'll go insane anyway.
I wish I could come up with more creative ways to corrupt these wishes...

Granted, but you soon come up with "creative" ways to do other things as well, leading to the largest and most gruesome chainsaw mishap in history (counting the Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and you spend the rest of your life in jail, where even your creative skills can't find a way to escape.
I wish I could keep my pasty white skin without having to wear so much sunscreen and without ever getting sunburned.

Granted, but you would grow so infatuated with your own skin that you would lose interest in life.
I wish I could find solace in the mundane.

Granted, but then you become a member of that particular group and no longer feel mundane.
I wish I did not have to charge my mp3 player to listen to it.

Granted. Instead, you now have to feed it blood, and it insists on being called Audrey 2. Happy listening!
I wish Mr. Potato Head was more entertaining...

Granted, but he becomes so interesting that he makes man obsolete.
I wish I could enjoy this song that I'm listening to.

Granted, but you enjoy it so much that you sing it constantly, driving everyone around you into insanity.
I wish I could be nocturnal.

Granted, but you would be the only one who would be out-and-about in the most lonely and beckoning hours of the night, causing you to hallucinate out of desperation and longing for a friend.
I wish my room would explode right now.

Granted, but you're horribly disfigured in the explosion and are then kidnapped by an UFO cult who is convinced that you are not of this world. They never feed you.
I wish my house had air conditioning.

Granted!
However, the new AC unit prooves to be very expensive to run, damaging to the enviroment and a drain on the local power grid.
You eventually go bankrupt through electricity bills and legal battles.
I wish I could learn everything within a book just by touching the cover.

Granted, but you will become living proof that knowledge can be a dangerous thing...
I wish I was reading a book right now...

Granted. Whilst reading a book, you somehow stumble upon the above-mentioned video. However, you can't watch it--you're too busy reading to move your eyes from the page.
I wish my closet contained things I might actually wear.
