Many appologies to many friends for being gone so long... Life has taken me through interesting times and twists and turns of late... but at least I'm no longer in Iraq... though sometimes I miss that strange simplicity and the serenity of at least mostly knowing who your enemies are...

Out of place and out of time, broken minds trying to rewind life and all I end up doing is stretching the tape... ~Chuckle~ Would that life would convert to DVD...

I just talked to my sister last night.I have an uncle that was diagnosed with MS a few years ago.He was doing alright for awhile, but he's confined ot his wheelchair now. :cry: I have to go see him this Sunday.

I just found out that after leasing a house with the help of one of my sisters(not the one I was talking to last night), my mom's credit is completely shot.She's going to be in debt forever and she was just approved for a new car.Seems my sister and her fiance both lost their jobs and can no longer help with the bills/mortgage or anything.I knew from the get-go that agreeing to get a house with my sister was the wrong idea, but would mom listen?

Sometimes I think I'm the only sane person in my family.

I have to go study some more and hope it sinks in before the test on Sat.

Meh, its been a rough last couple o weeks. Al took me to the ER the day after that, while Manimal watched the boys for me. Bleck. One more week of finals and then Spring Break. Thank fucking gawd, I am plain worn the fuck out. I look ghostlier than usual. But at least my doctor hooked me up with some stronger pain meds that actually help a bit.

hey, thanx guys. after some sleep, things have started off a little better today - i get another 16 hours in the hell hole. heh.

as for the slasher pic - most times, individuals cut themselves to relieve flashbacks of both psycholgical and physical trauma. they don't necessarily need emergency room treatment, although the laceration on his wrist would probably benefit from a few sutures, based on appearance. the other side of that is - sutures tend to reduce the severity of scars and quite often, when someone mutilates their flesh, scars serve to remind them of the damage they've inflicted upon themselves and survived. "battle scars", if you will - a constant reminder that no matter how badly they're hurt, they have the ability to survive. usually, it's other people who freak out when they see it, especially while the slashes are fresh, cuz society in general can't fathom someone mutilating their flesh in such a fashion. let's face it - with the time and energy that person invested in carving such a pretty picture, if he or she wanted to kil him or herself, he or she could have cut and cut and cut, deeper and deeper and deeper until all arteries were severed and his blood ran dry. knee jerk reactions to such a display usually leave someone frustrated and resentful when dealing with the "why" in relation to someone's cutting behavor. not that i mind leaving someone frustrated and resentful at times, especially when dealing with fuckfaces who know that a few slashes here and there will get people running around in an attempt to "help" them. manipulators. borderlines. pains-in-the-asses.

I don't know why you started writing it, but I was really interested. I never thought of scars being a healing presence on someone's body- that's really interesting.

And just FYI that's not a real pic of spoonjiggle- Al found it on the internet. So don't worry- he's not *that* psychotic. Just hella annoying.
