Beetlejuice !!! (1988, Directed by Tim Burton)
This is the story of Adam and Barbara who live in a beautiful house in New England. One day while driving home they are involved in a terrible auto accident. They manage to walk home only to discover later that they have died and now haunt their house. When their house is purchased by an out of state family, they feel their home is threatened by the over-the-top artists wife and real-estate idea-man husband. Their only relief is the Gothic daughter of the family. Their attempts at scaring the family out of the house are ignored or laughed at. Finally they fall to the temptation to use the people-exorcizer Beetle Juice. When they find his tactics too dangerous, they attempt to contain him and save the family they were trying to boot. IMDB
Classic !!!

i saw Memoirs of a Geisha...OMG! the book was amazing, but the movie was AWESOME!
after that, i watched a Russian "horror" called Nightwatch...which has just become my favourite movie! i read the "quasi-manga", but the movie was wicked! we got it on DVD, so i watched it once in english and once in russian...
oh and there's a couple of good songs on the sound track, too...

I've had Nightwatch sitting on top of my DVD player for weeks, and just haven't got around to watching it. Seems I'll have to do that very soon!
Funnily enough Memoirs of a Geisha has been sitting right next to Nightwatch, and recieved the very same fate. It's one of my favourite books, so I have a feeling the movie might get a similar review...
Right! This weekend: I'm watching Nightwatch and Memoirs of a Geisha. No one can stop me! Thank you for the motivational push, PersephoneX

Hey I like that movie! Kind of brutal-ish. Haha.
I watched Girl, Interrupted on dvd yesterday. It was ok, but the actors were really good, so I like it. I've watched it for like, a hundred times.

Went off to a theater for the first time in months to see Snakes on a Plane. It wasn't too awful. At least it had some interesting kills.

I saw that new movie "Beerfest."
It was overall...ok. I would have rather seen it on MY screen after I rented it. But oh well. Me and my hubby took our own "Beverages" and got drunk with the people on the movie. heh. It was pretty funny, but too many boob shots!!! That pissed me off. The first 10 minutes of the movie it shows at least 5 chicks with their shirts being torn off! I am too self conscious for that shit! But it was ok. My hubby loved it, go figure. Now he's grounded.

I watched silent hill last night. I've never played the game, so I didn't know any of the characters or storyline or whatever. It didn't really make a lot of sense plot wise, but it had good visuals.

Bladerunner (for the first time).
Rutger Hauer was amazing in that, particularly at the end.

The last movie I watched was Begotten. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101420/
Very good black and white silent independent horror film. Very gruesome, I must say, even though I've seen it three times.
