If I were ever to get married I'd just elope, and go off and have a crazy adventure somewhere far away, then have a party when we get back. I don't think my family would be down for a Buddhist wedding anyway.
Speaking of dresses, the **** crisis center I volunteer at is having a masquerade ball next month as a fundraiser, I'm really excited :3 I'm considering asking mom to bring out my prom dress so I can wear it again, although I bought a dress recently that isn't so formal but absolutely adorable, and I haven't had an excuse to wear it yet. And we get to make masks! I'm determined to win the best mask prize.

Gah I just got an updated list from mommy dearest and we are back up to 200 >.<
On the happy side Jake's family has offered to go above their bar and rehearsal dinner duties since they realize that we both have large families and that a single mother doesn't have a tone of extra cash flow. They haven't offered a firm dollar amount as they want us to pick exactly what we want but I got the impression that in the least they will put in for half of the catering.

I'm just so damn loveable that everyone wants to be my friend ^_^
In all honesty we both have big families and on my side I'm the second youngest of my generation so most of my cousins are married with at least one kid so it does add up pretty quickly. Also only 32 are going to be at the ceremony (we each have our four closest friends, siblings, parents, grandparents, and godparents).

Eh. I prefer Die from Dir en Grey when he was in his bondage/rocker phase.
Snow white skin, blood red hair, shiny black clothing. Yum.

You know you have a problem when this fan-made 30 second commercial for the Palm Pre and it's WebOS operating system looks better than the official commercials from Palm!

I'm developing a Russian accent from playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so much.

Things seem really quiet around Gnet lately. I'm on a semi-hiatus from forums + stuff.

That's someone else... I'm going to buy it from a cosplay site but touch up the smaller details myself...I'm also going to try to make the sword..but I have no idea how that will turn out.

$hade would have a bitch fit over someone buying their cosplay costume.
I had a nap and my roommate went into her room and had a nap, so for the last three hours I remember randomly waking up, coughing, and she would cough at the same time as if we were communicating. its the house of sick!

Honestly I think it is really stupid to buy a cosplay costume, the whole point is to show dedication and skill by making it yourself. I mean I can get buying bits and pieces that you put together to make the costume but just straight up buying it goes against the whole idea of cosplay.
On a completely unrelated note: I just heard back from my first choice venue for my wedding celebration and not only are they available for the day I want but the owner is going to give us a 20% discount since she knows my mom! This takes a huge weight off of my mind as it is essentially exactly what I want, the only decorating that I would need to do are some flowers so I don't have to worry much about setup, and it can seat 200 so with a cocktail reception they can do 200 plus a dance floor and plenty of room to move about. Jake and I are going up to see it on Saturday (I've already seen it and Jake has looked at bunches of pictures) and make a final decision but it is pretty much decided.
Also I put in for a transfer at work. Both activities and the front desk are hiring and I finally decided to tell my manager that I'm not happy where I am and that I would much rather be in a position to better use my customer service skills than booking people for presentations, even if it would mean a cut in pay. The real truth is that I can't stand the woman and I don't think that I would be able to tolerate working more closely with her. She was just the lead before so if there was anything that was really causing a problem then I could go to the actual manager but he has now taken a position with another company and a new manager is being brought it, but until she gets a handle on things she will only be managing one property and in the interim period Nan will be the acting manager for GSR (which is the property that I work at). She seemed a bit taken aback that I asked for a transfer but she seemed okay with it, I don't think she likes me much more than I like her and would be perfectly happy not having to work side by side (as she currently spends most of her time at the other property). Wooo that kind of turned into a rant, oh well, the point is I'm happy to be getting away from the crazy lady, even if it is just to the other side of the room.
