*giggling maniacally* Wow... I think I understand this necessary flaming idea. I stand corrected.

Oh, and Hot Topic is STILL generally useless.

There were only about four sentences swimming in there. Learn to write, you fucking moron. We comment about your incomprehensible "insults" because we like to point out the idiots. You also said that we make no sense-- why don't you take your own fucking advice? You switched from calling us all "assholes" to referring to us as *a* typical asshole and *a* child in the space of a single post.

How the hell can you have the sheer arrogance to suggest that WE leave OUR forum because we don't like you, a newcomer?

We ARE better than you. We're smarter, better writers, better at insulting, more successful in life, and more original than you. I'm willing to be that we're prettier than you, too.

The monolithic scale of your hypocrisy astounds me. You call us assholes for thinking that we're right and better than you, and then turn around and tell us how you're right and more "mature" than us. You say that WE make "so" sense-- it took me more than five minutes just to find the tiny shitstains of meaning hidden in your post, and I still don't understand it.

If I was your father I would drag you out from under your piss-stained sheets while you slept, stomp on your face until you stopped breathing, and pretend you never existed. You are a stain on your family's honor and a stain on the credibility of the entire Gothic culture. I feel dirty and ashamed for giving you the small honor of responding to your post.

TROLL!!!!!!! How's life under your bridge?I wouldn't call your tirades insults, rather I would call them the tantrums of a child who needs some hugs. You poor, poor, thing.

Well look here, admitting your comments were faulty! It's always nice to see a person take that one small first step on the road to rehabilitation.

And I don't believe we're annoyed. Entertained? Most definately.

I know this is now a flame thread, but last week I emailed Hot Topic because of that whole - the Gap owns it, no it doesn't, yes it does argument. Just in case anyone cares, a lady named Megan Hall emailed me back with this -

Hot Topic was founded by Orv Madden. He opened the first store in southern California in 1989 when he realized that no other retailers were taking timely advantage of the direct correlation between music videos, alternative artists and fashions. Since then, we have grown to 661 Hot Topic stores located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. In 2001 we opened our first Torrid store and we now have 121 Torrid stores in 34 states. Hot Topic became a publicly traded company in September 1996 so we are 'owned' by approximately 46 million shareholders. Betsy has served as our CEO since 2000 and Orv Madden retired in April 2001. I hope this answers your questions! To learn more information about us you can check out our investor relations website at http://investorrelations.hottopic.com.

Um...hi? Um, yeah. Has anyone mentioned how Hot Topic's shirts are cut funny? I think they were made for preschool girls. In other words...no room in the chest! It's not even like I have a huge...ahem...bosom or anything. Lucky guys don't have this problem.

Yeah, the cherry-cheek faced girl looking at the Green Day shit? That used to be me. And look where I am now. Is there a law against going in and looking around if you're not dressed like a Goth? Should they have bouncers at the door?

Oh, shit. Here come the flames. Oh, well.

No, I know I wasn't buying a men's shirt. It was a Slytherin shirt, if anyone's curious. As for the whole flat-chested thing, what in the world is fun about that?

WILL EVERYBODY PLEASE JUST STOP THE F**CKING FLAMES!!!!!!!!!

(pant, pant) Ahem, sorry about that. What I meant to say was: now that everyone has been roundly and repeatedly dissed, whether it was deserved or not, I think it's time to drop the subject. It's just an little online chat, peoples, not a world war. I don't think this is worth getting into a tizzy. Okay? No winners, no losers.

Back to Hot Topic...I like some of their stuff, but it's mostly too expensive for me. I would definitely say that the accessories are better than the clothes. But, on the whole, I'd rather go to a nice thrift store.

I appreciate your support, Unconscious Insanity. Please just keep in mind that I meant you, too.

At my last job, I got paid $5.50 an hour. For the sheer, unmitigated, torturous hell of working as a cashier at Hobby Lobby. Some cashiers get to check out the hot guys, but no, I had to work for Hobby Lobby, where all the customers are middle-aged to elderly women buying scrapbook materials and yarn (grumble grumble grumble)

Yep, their t-shirts are cut ridiculously small. I can barely squeeze into an XL. Granted, I have shoulders like a linebacker, but I'm slim and have a less-than-abundant bustline.

Oddly, their skirts are sized far more generously. The M generally fits me, sometimes even the S.

The XL t-shirt is barely big enough, but I can wear the S skirt? One would think I could share clothes with Pamela Anderson! Ha ha ha!

Yeah, I agree... I *do* have a large chest, and the shirts from Hot Topic are a pain in the ass to get into. I have to buy a size too big for them to fit properly.
