I don't know if I mentioned it, but mine is a mini-rex. He's fawn-coloured, I believe. I mean, I know what he looks like, I'm just not sure if you call it fawn.

Is he similar in colour to any of these ( they are full size rex but the colours in minis and full ones are the same )

G.net is the biggest distraction EVER!! I am compelled to come here when I'm on the computer.
I have to study... can't go on here...
But it's too late.

I picked up a 5 gallon Hex tank at the Car boot today. I fully intended it to be used for shrimp. But then Mother spotted me and has put her foot down with a firm hand. She refused to have the tank in the house unless I had fish in it , as she wants something interesting to look at It isn't there purely for her entertainment
It is only just about big enough for a single betta. But barely. I am not happy . So after giving it a good clean and scrub, I added used ceramic media from my 30gal community to provide an instant cycle. Added gravel, a big piece of bogwood for a central focus, then planted it with hairgrass, an amazon sword, a mossball, a small waterlettuce from my main plant, and a bunch of salvinia.
We now have a blue betta called Duncan. I have also put in my ghost shrimp , Prometheus as company and cleanup staff . He seems to have enough space to swim, and is an active little chap but I'm not happy with just 5 gallons. He should be in ten . My mother annoys me sometimes

I can't afford to. I can't afford to private rent, have no one to share bills with ( friends all have partners and have bought houses/married ) and the council will not give me a house , or a bottom duplex flat with it's own garden. I cannot live without a garden ( which I need for the rabbit more than anything ) . I will go insane without one . Seriously.

sniff . . . lucky . . . sniff
Honeythorn, your beauty amazes me, as always, and hopefully you will take pictures of the amazingly talented (and attractive) Voltaire to share with all of us who are too broke for plane tickets.
