Oooh, that does look comfortable.

I think I have found the closest to perfect new flat for me.
It's a shared place, so I just have the room to myself. But it's the top of an old Georgian building, the roof slanting in a bit (so I can put up posters more easily without standing on a wobbly chair), it's west facing so the whole room illuminates in glorious warm gold in the evenings- but no morning sun! The kitchens are all downstairs, but that doesn't bother me.
It's a double room, so plenty of space to have people stay over.

And!

It's Room Number 13.

I gotta have this. It's just £425 a month with ALL bills included.

Oooooh sounds good Delkaetre. I currently live in an apartment in a Victorian house that's about 10 minutes from campus and 3 from the grocery store. If stoves were safer, I could practically put water on to boil, go buy noodles and come back and dump them in. Tiny tiny kitchen though. I've got a 1x2 foot area of counter, a stove, a sink and a full-sized fridge.

My boy came down for the weekend. It was awesome. ^.^ And now I miss him again...

Apparently llamas regularly abort their fetuses and people in Bolivia use these aborted fetuses in various rituals. One learns some interesting things while watching the Travel Channel.

Ugh, it seems like I'm getting migraines every other day.
This can't be normal.

^ I had migraines almost daily from the ages of 13-15...not fun at all.

I'm seriously considering joining the army reserve.

^ Opposite to me.

Even that it was like the last day on Earth,I would rather not joining any military groups.

I think if you were to join the army $hade you'd have an advantage, you're so cute no one would have the heart to shoot you.

This mental malaise has crept back into my work life. I have to get this under control. I can't go back to hiding in my cubicle again and crying all day. Looks like I can't go more than 3 months without Lexapro.

I've been entertaining myself with new languages.

Here's the phonetic basics for the current one.
http://i34.tinypic.com/wtd26f.jpg (vowels)
http://i38.tinypic.com/ibyz2r.jpg (consonants)

There's a third part, the actual Glyph, which is more hieroglyphic than runic and a lot more fluid than geometric. The phonetic alphabet exists for writing things that haven't yet been glyphed or can't be glyphed (eg pronunciation guides, proper nouns- because damned if I'm going to glyph "longredhair- pale- female- darkdressing- highsentience- bipedal- literate" instead of my actual name).
The Glyph can express hetero-, homo-, bi-, pan-, trans- and a-sexuality, the difference between lust, need and want, differences in size, geographical features like mountains, hills, rivers, cliffs and waterfalls, a craving for drugs, the need to be loved, sunlight, a request for someone to turn their loud music down, the difference between a human shelter and an animal den, the difference between a character, a note, a letter, a book and a library, music, happiness, pleasure, sadness, sorrow, lack, sharing/giving, movement, the difference between quiet and silence, the difference between speech, music and general noise, everything, nothing, birth, death, past, future, present, the need for attention to be paid to something, and more.
It is, of course, a very limited language and still heavily reliant on the Alphabet counterpart. But I only started it twelve hours ago, and I've had breaks for food, work and conversation.

Many individual Glyphs exist, and these Glyphs are arranged together into Compound Glyphs. A Compound Glyph allows me to express a long or complex concept in a much small space than the sentence itself would take. I can show "platonic homosexual relationship between two males" with far fewer strokes of the pen than it takes to write it out.

Yay I am once again a blond!

It turned out a little oddly because I forgot to take into consideration that there was no dye on my roots but there was in the rest of my hair so the roots are a good bit lighter than the ends, but it is pretty gradual and I think it looks kind of cool.

Today was stressful, but also good: Lasagne for lunch with a good friend and conversationalist, and for dinner my daughter made tacos, and she makes them just as tasty as my wife does! Slurp!
