Peter Murphy

Here's a great review for Peter Murphy's show in Eugene Oregon awhile back. Original pix too if you want some new ones for your collection!

great link. Here's an interesting fact on where the name Bauhaus came from.

Thanx for posting. I wish I could've went to a Peter Murphy concert. What do you think of his NIN covers? I think they are enchanting but it seems most people on here think they are lame.

I read a thread comparing Bauhaus to Joy Division and some people said that the Peter Murphy covers were crap.

Some people =/= most people.

And I don't think it was even 'some people' in that thread. I think it was perhaps two or three.

Hang on... aren't you a scientist?

Some of them are good. I've seen clips of his cover of Hurt and I like it. But then I like the Cash cover version too.

I didn't really like his covers as much as I like his original material. Then again, with a few notable exceptions, I don't really care for covers much.

I've seen Peter Murphy live before and it is amazing. There's usually a nice mix of old and new with his sets, and just seeing him up there belting out his songs with a long string of pearls around his neck was incredible. Pretty chill atmosphere with the crowd, too. ^_^
