Design Style Query

For years now I have seen a design style on g/i club flyers that looks like black curvy lines with arrowheads. Does anyone know what this is called?

I will try to dig up some more examples. Is anyone else familiar with this or have some other examples they can post?

It looks like a type of tribal. I'd probably need to see more examples, but I'm pretty sure it is a newer style of tribal.

Looks like tribal to me, too. They just made it more pointy.

It's a primitive abstract style. I've seen it before, but having difficulty coming up with the right word. It isn't really tribal though. It is like rose stems and thorns which is more often used in page borders in commercial art.

It reminds me of Elizabethian....
