I used to be on these forums back when I was younger (I went by DRM then) and caught myself thinking about it the other day. So I figured I'd pop back in and see how it is these days.
Here are the original questions to get you started:
Actually, we're changing a few, now that we mention it.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I enjoy painting, repainting doll faces, maintaining my website, reading (like everyone else), and as of recently working out. Lately I've been on a kick learning about Appalachian folk magic (granny magic) and the folklore from the area. Southern cunning in general is a thing I've been into reading about. I don't practice any kind of magic but it's a really cool way to mix spooky with the history of the area. I play D&D 5th Edition.
I'm a homemaker and I'm hoping to finish out college once my kids are both in school.
2. Where are you from?
I'm from the south east area of America.
3. Who is your favorite author?
TOUGH. Uh, if it's something I'm listening to while I'm busy then maybe Grady Hendrix. The audio books read like pulp. I like Jake Richardson right now, he only has one book but the new one should be out this year. I'm obsessed with a comic book series called "Transmetropolitan". Spider Jerusalem is a God. Susan Hill, Ibram X. Kendi, Leila Taylor, Wally Lamb, Margaret Atwood, Danny Katch. I don't know, it really depends on the day.
4. What are your favorite films?
Coco, Repo! The Genetic Opera, anything with Vincent Price, Serenity, Key Largo, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Shining, Gaslighting, Black Sabbath, Re-Animator, Heather's, Black Sunday...uh...Ghostbusters gets a honorable mention not because I love it but because my 2 year old is obsessed and I watch it 1-3 times EVERYDAY.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I'm actually already married and we skipped out on doing the whole wedding thing and just had a lawyer officiate it.
6. At your funeral?
Ride to Destiny by Midnight Syndicate
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
In my old age, peacefully.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
It...really won't matter at that point will it? Haha! Something cheap so my kids don't have to spend a bunch of money on it.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
My black jeans, my dark grey "choose your weapon" dice shirt, and my black Tom's. I keep it comfortable these days.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Probably not understanding the concept of my time on earth being finite.
11. What's your favorite band?
Yikes! Kimya Dawson, Run the Jewels, Type O Negative, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Pat the Bunny, Anti-Flag, Johnny Cash, KMFDM,
And Gary Clark Jr. Those are who I've been listening to this past week but it's normally all over the place.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I have my GED, some college, and I plan to go back and get a Political Science degree when the kids are both in school.
13. Why did you join?
I don't remember why I joined when I was younger but this time it's just because I was thinking about it the other day.
