Snow and Ridge:The hard way (Part of a story I'm working on)
The fire fight was over as soon as it began,Ridge was the last man standing once more,leaving five bodies in his wake,but he hadn't gotten out of it without taking damage.
The first four went down when his AR-15 jammed,he drew his revolver and squeezed off a round at the last thug,but not before the remaining bad guy was able to fire his sidearm,it sent a 9mm hollow point into Ridges right hand,taking his trigger finger and doing nerve damage to his other digits ,it began to gush blood,he used his left hand to get a bandage from the web-belt,he wrapped it up as best he could,blood still oozed out, his revolver lay on the ground a chunk of the index finger was left inside it's trigger guard.
Going to work on the lock before he could pass out,Snow was free and out of her cage,the ransom the thugs were expecting failed,just as Snow knew it would.
Ridge handed her a his knife,she saw the damage that was done,and saw her chance,when Ridge began to focuse on stopping the bleeding she plunged the knife into his chest.
Ridge just looked at her for a second,not knowing what the hell just happened,He sank down to one knee as his legs buckeled,using his left hand to pull the blade part of the way out, only to have Snow's small booted foot slam into the pommel,sinking it up to the hilt.
Ridge fell backward both from the realization and the force,"You greedy son of a bitch! you couldn't part with one cent could you!"
Snow smiled and climbed ontop of her one time lover and protector,she grabbed the handle,Ridge's left hand grabbed a handful of her long black hair as Snow began to use her body weight to twist the blade,through the pain his right hand wrapped around her throat,but he couldn't manage a strong grip,Snow laughed.
"Fucking Pathetic" She focused on his once strong right hand, and began to snap the barely working fingers,and then dodged as his left fist swung out to strike.
"I thought you did'nt hit women" Snow spoke very annoyed at his attempt.
"Bitch!" Ridge spat,blood splattered across Snow's face.
Snow twisted the handle once more then got up, and walked over scooping the revolver from the cold stone floor,she did a quick check of it's cylinder.
Ridge tried to sit up,but to no avail,he lay there only able to hear his weapon clicking shut.
Snow took a deep breath,and cocked the hammer back,exhailed half of it, she lined the sights on Ridge's forehead,taking careful aim.
The model 12 bucked in her hand,a sharp report sounded from the service length barrel,sending a 158 grain semi-wad cutter projectile into the intended target,Ridges body jerked and thrashed for a few seconds.
Snow pulled the knife from his body,and holstered the revolver.
"Thanks" she said mockingly as she turned and walked out.
