Anyone see Colbert last night hitting this issue dead on? What the fuck is a little bow compared to the complete Saudi ass kissing of the last 8 years? This "controversy" is almost as ridiculously absurd as fucking Hannity calling Obama a fascist.

Actually, I do find it slightly annoying that he bowed. If America ever stood for anything worth the effort, it's the idea that no man - be he President or plumber, should be expected to bow to another, especially on account of an accident of birth. Bowing to royalty is taking a piss on the best part of the American spirit.

If the other dude had bowed back, it wouldn't have bothered me. Then it would be like shaking hands - a showing of mutual respect.

When Bush was the Prez, he said "Stick by your President, show him respect, stand by his decisions because he's the President and therefor he knows what's best".
