Greetings all!

Hey there! I'm Geisel. You've given me a very handy list of questions to answer, so here we go!

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'll get the really boring part out of the way first: my job. In true suburban fashion, I work at a local coffeeshop (think Starbucks, but with sandwiches and better desserts). I'm a server/barista/cook/dishwasher/what-ever-else-my-boss-tells-me-to-do-er.
As for hobbies - I'm a trekkie. (Feel free to point and laugh.) I also like cooking, sewing, gardening, photography, reading, writing, and music. I play the piano and the F horn.

2. Where are you from?
New Jersey.

3. Who is your favorite author?
That's tough. I generally have favorite books (it's Watership Down, by the way), not favorite authors. Probably Garth Nix, Margaret Atwood, and Victor Hugo. Favorite poets would be e.e. cummings, Blake, Poe, and Corie Feiner.

4. What are your favorite films?
In no particular order...
The Triplets of Belleville
1776
The Tin Drum
Shaun of the Dead
SLC Punk
Star Trek: First Contact
The Crow
Chicken Run
Citizen Kane
The Laramie Project
Batman: The Movie
Casablanca
Modern Times

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Tom Waits and Bauhaus.

6. At your funeral?
In particular, "So Long to the Circus" by The World/Inferno Friendship Society

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Painlessly. Or, failing that, in a way so outrageous that it will become the stuff of legend.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
A biodegradable one!

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
My best friend made it for me last year - it's a black taffeta ballgown skirt with a cranberry top that has big flowing sleeves and a black velvet hooded cloak.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
1 hour of homework a night.

11. What's your favorite band?
Another toughie. Probably a toss-up between Simon & Garfunkel and black tape for a blue girl.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm a high school senior. I'm going to major in German in college.

13. Why did you join?
To meet people, mostly. And because I don't have much in the way of a life.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

Sweet! So, do you want a biodegradable coffin, or a "green" funeral?

Bah. I wish my school offered German. Lucky. I had a choice between French and Spanish

Biodegradable coffin, eh? Good girl ^^ Just make a paper maché
coffin.

Actually, those corrugated-cardboard coffins that they've been using for cremations in Hong Kong have me highly intrigued.

And don't be too sad about your lack of German; French is a fine and noble language as well.

This green funeral intrigues me.. I am all for the environment. That's actually why I hate burials -- I have a rant dedicated to burials, but I won't get into it here and now.

I get the sense that you'd be preaching to the choir if you did. :-)

I love that cat, incidentally.

Welcome! Coolness Shaun of the Dead **dies laughing** I love that stupid campy sense of humor, add in the insanity of zombies and a good director and you have a winner. Been ages since I've seen The Crow, too. Anyway, welcome, and see you around on the forums.

Yes! Campy humor is great. Abbot and Costello, especially.

Wow. That's...really disturbing. But oddly amusing.

Like touching himself while he watches you masturbate? Oh, he does. Cats don't lick themselves just to feel clean.

I was actually thinking of something along the lines of "vomiting toxic waste," but your idea is certainly naughtier!

Hmm, never thought of that. My cat used to obsessively lick himself when around me, does that mean he's gay? hehe.
