Sheridan's Intro

Really not much interesting to say about myself. I came to this site because Google sent me an alert saying that Hull and Goth had been mentioned in the same page.

Until recently if I wanted to go out to a Goth night then I'd go to London, York or Leeds, but then my money ran out (I have no income due to illness).

That's about it really - said there was nothing interesting to report...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Reading; writing; going to gigs, cinema, theatre; writing reviews, articles and interviews; getting reviews published (not so easy, sometimes).

2. Where are you from?
London.

3. Who is your favorite author?
I don't play favourites - among those that are prominent on my bookshelf - Mervyn Peake; Michael Moorcock; PTerry; Mr. Gaiman; Iain (M) Banks.

4. What are your favorite films?
Many of those by Terry Gilliam; Tim Burton; Excalibur; Dune; you get the idea.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Tchaikovsky.

6. At your funeral?
Haven't thought about it.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I don't want to die.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
A bio-degradable one.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Various - I don't play favourites.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Living on a boat or in the country.

11. What's your favorite band?
Devilish Presley.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
No idea what 'major's are, but I'm guessing it's something to do with degrees? I don't have one.

13. Why did you join?
As stated above...

I'm not sure there is a direct correlation - possibly if someone's doing a sandwich course, but otherwise it's just the subject someone's studying, I'd guess.

Ta for the info!

That would imply you take a minor in something else though (from what I can follow), which happens in sandwich courses, but it is possible to study one subject and one subject alone, though I think it's becoming less common these days. Though I don't have a degree (and am not studying) so don't know the specifics of how these things work in any country...

You can take one subject anytime and Major in it without a minor, but with how degree programs are set up you never focus on one subject unless you didn't care about the degree or certificate involved (Degrees being Associates, Bachelors, Masters or a Doctorette (sp?)..)

Welcome Sheridan, enjoy your stay.
