Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

well, it's more after you put in the heavier strings, you'll have to adjust the truss and bridge.

Fender Strat is good, too... I'll get both the LP and Strat!!!
Oh... and... guitarists are better than bassists.

Good choice of guitars, but speaking as a multi instrumentalist (guitar/bass/keyboards) in what way are guitarists better than bassists out of curiousity ?

It's a little joke me and Lethean share, he jokes that Bassists are better because they provide the rhythm and are more skilled, I joke that guitarists are better because they provide the main bulk of the raw power that be in tunes, we joke around about this, but we both know guitarists are and will always be better

I currently play rhythm and bass guitar for my band I've been working on for quite a while now. I'm not professional by any means but easily can get going when I get some solid chords and picking down. I usually like playing Joy Division, Alice in Chains, Sabbath, Dead Kennedys, TSOL, Rudimentary Peni, Floyd, Zepp, and anything else that I pick up. Nothing too elaborate, though.

Why make a code? Live by what you want, not a set of rules.

I actually hate the Explorer and Flying V shapes. Or any of these other 'metal'/retro/modern shapes. Classic shapes suit me best. Both in terms of aesthetic and tone.

I like the design of the Flying V, but they feel awkward when I play them because they seem over sized compared to a Les Paul etc.

Talk to the audience. Play with them. Otherwise, they'll tear you apart.

Do you mean a guitarist playing solo unaccompanied, if you look at some of the famous classical guitarists they will often be unaccompanied !!!.
Duane, if you love great guitar music check this clip out ...
