If it's hot... and I lick your face, it'll taste salty? According to science, I must test this theory.... IMMEDIATELY!!!!

So, why even bother with it? Why feel sorry for other people who think its just a book of stories, not to be taken literally?
i dont really think its the divinity of him, i think of it as enlightenment. i dont follow the bible super strict, youll be lucky if i can remember a line or so and thats after classes to become a member of my church. (btw, how do you guys feel about lutherans?) i dont take it at face value, i trust my instinct the best i can.

Again, my point to you, Lady Sorrow, which you missed, was not that you were being insensitive, but that you were being condescending ... even arrogant ... in your belief that you should feel sorrow for people who have other beliefs.

There's absolutely no evidence whatsoever that what you believe is more legitimate than what I believe.

Lady Sorrow, don't let folks here get you down. =) I think it's a perfectly natural thing to wonder, and I marvel that more folk don't admit to wondering it themselves. [Then again, I've met quite a few angry atheists and religionists online who were convinced they were absolutely right, and that anyone who dissented even a twinge from their own beliefs is not just wrong, but a jerk and a cad to boot.]

I'm a Christian, and sometimes I wonder about folks of other belief systems too. But, because I'm a Christian who believes in a loving God Who has a good reason for everything He does, I also can't just assume that the Bible's descriptions are of a giant big meanie Who's only out to give us a hard time because of arrogance or some other human malady, but rather of a loving God who's tried every which way from Tuesday to help a people gone insane.

I know that those who love God and do their best to have a relationship with Him will go to Heaven. As for others, I don't know. I do -not- believe, however, that God is completely callous against such folk; why would He send His Son [who came willingly, and could have given up and left at any point, and still been without blame] on a death mission if He didn't care? [<-- That's a rhetorical question, meant for pondering and not being trolled all to hell.]

There's the arrogance. They don't believe the wrong thing.

It would be arrogant of me to say you believe the wrong thing.

Well, I get now that the quotes were supposed to indicate that you didn't think that, but your earlier statements communicated that you DID think that. Hence, my confusion.

I normally get that usage of quotes.

And just remember that I've probably been communicating over the internet or its predecessor for most if not all of your life, so I know how to read a comment. (I say that because your last comment sounded condescending again.)

Nice avatar choice! Well done.

[edit] I especially like the work on the poetry. Way to really flesh out a character! *wink*

Thanks I found it on google image search.

It's easy to write bad poetry, it's hard to write bad poetry JUST RIGHT.
