I always have a lot of shit to carry, so i'm more partial to totebags. I seen this one on ebay, and liked it:

I've started making dolls! I really like this, but purses will remain my main focus.

Have you ever thought of doing a fleur de lis purse? I really want to purchase one for my mother, but since I can't afford the $100 for a custom job I was kind of hoping you'd make one as part of your catalogue. I know, horrid and selfish, but I thought I'd ask.

And a fleur de lis could be a great seller...
E-mail me, you'll find my address on my site, we'll talk about the design you want.
(we can make a deal!...I'm not firm on the $100 price every time, I just want only serious inquiries from my site and that price quote usually does the job.)

I've been working on the purse today!!
I couldn't make up my mind which fabrics I liked best so I used them ALL!
It's going to be so pretty! The fabrics are Black satin, rich lime satin, deep turquise tapestry, teal taffetta, and embroidered olive silk.....looks like peacock colors!
Would she like fringe...or is that too FOOFEY?

I really like the doll. I know your focus is on purses, but I think you are on to something with the first doll design. My gut says, "make more!!". Either way, I wish you much success!

LOL Xng. No. I'd like it to be a little more obvious to those that it needs to be obvious to, because i have a tendency to be too intimidating in appearance. i think it scares away potential dates. however I really don't want to set off fire alarms every time I walk in a building, due to all the FLAMES that would be trailing behind me, should i go the roy g biv or other routes.

Thank you. I have more doll designs I am working on. There should be four coming soon...then I'll need to order more materials. These are sort of a test market. I need to post new pics of this current doll. She has her clothing finished. I'm just finishing up the clasp on her jacket.
She's the simple one...the others have a more complicated design...a little more artsy fartsy. You'll see!
Question: Can you buy your own cafe press items at base price? I've always wondered!

Depending on the cost of your materials, have you thought about creating your own moulds? for things like heads, hands, feet, etc. way way cheaper, and pretty easy to do. my grandfather made his own plastic moulds of things he carved from wood. he carved elaborate coats of arms, and his plan was to make resin casts from the masters, that he could alter to necessity later. but he died before he could really get to work on much of it. i want to get into that sort of thing.

I think the dolls are going to be a permanent item. I'm wanting to create a seperate site for them. I have enough materials for three more..if those sell quickly I'm sure to make more. Originally I thought all of them would be female...but your comment has got me thinking. I guess some male dolls would be smart.

I'm actually looking into that. I've found some indepth instructions, I just need to buy the "goop". It would definatly make thinks go faster. I purchase the heads from a taxidermy supply and vamp them up a bit...but the hands and feet I do myself.

ooh, so they're real bird/crow heads. oh-so goth. i was going to ask if they were but didn't. that makes them more unique since no two would ever be exactly alike.

Well, they are actually cast from a real model. Even tho they are cast, every one will still be unique because I paint the eyes by hand and sculpt all the other stuff myself.
Originally I wanted to use mounted birds, but that was just WAY too expensive.

Okay, here's what the purse will look like with or without fringe. You decide.
(I still need to aplique the design on & the colors appear much richer in person)

Her work is amazing..

She is sooooo incredibly talented.

I showed Manimal her site awhile back with "not so subtle" hints.

I want something similiar to her St. Bernadette purse with the Victorian Mourning Rosary.

That was so beautiful and unique.

I think I would choose Eggplant Purple and Black, with Black Jet Beads..

*dreams*

Jared has seen some of her pictures, just not the more risque ones.

I have a few BP shirts I wear sometimes.

I am trying to raise him with a sense of the human body as being natural and not something to be ashamed of at all.

But no, I wouldn't put her on a purse. She has been over-marketed lately. I would want something unique and elegantly poignant.

Yes, with just the right piece of Victorian Mourning Jewelry, and the right fabric and trim, it would be gorgeous..

I was thinking of the Eggplant Purple Silk with a Black Lace over it, with a photo and Rosary in the middle. Black Jet Beads on the trim.

I'd want the lace in a Needle Pattern;

http://www.oac.state.oh.us/riffe/exh...ns/Image10.jpg

Or a Marquise;

http://www.heritagelaceoutlet.com/Im...e/marquise.jpg

I also want to have one made for my Mother. Who has always been the most Fashionable Woman I know. She was recently on the cover of a Texas Health & Image magazine. My son took her to school to show his class. He was so excited. But she would absolutely adore a custom made purse. She'd be the envy of all of her friends. *Hee*
