Amy Lee (Evanescence), Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), Tarja Turunen (used to be from Nightwish), Deirdre Wood (Celtic Spring), Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Kerli, Anette Olzon (Nightwish), and Madonna, just to name a few.

I always liked female voices better than male voices for some reason.

With the type of bands you listed, Female singers are usually better... usually because the male is incredibly growly.

Okay, so laugh at me. I've always liked Luciano Pavarotti, although he can get kind of hammy sometimes. And Mahalia Jackson and Leontyne Price are classics. Aretha Franklin. The lead singer from System of a Down (spaced his name), has an interesting voice, but then so does Rod Stewart. Too many good singers out there. Too many 'favorites' of the moment. Hard to list all of them.

Monica Richards (Faith and the Muse). I listened to a live version of Scars Flown Proud, and she (and the rest of the band) were simply amazing! I also enjoy Andrew Eldrtich, especially on FALAA, though I would say his talent really shows on later albums. Still, I wouldn't say he was the best singer in the world. I also enjoy Peter Murphy, Siouxsie, Robert Smith, and David Bowie.

If I'm talking about female artists, I like those operatic voices :

- Tarja Turunen
- Floor Jansen ( AF )
- Amy Lee ( EV )

Male singers :

- Dani Filth ( Cradle of Filth )
- Petri Lindroos ( Norther )
- Nergal ( Behemoth )
- Corey Taylor ( Slipknot )
- Nattefrost
- Andreas Bergh " Whiplasher" ( Deathstars )
- Kristoffer Olivius ( Naglfar )
and much more ..

I'm more into growling .

I like vocal extremes.

Siouxie Sioux and Sopor for their stirring, emotive, and distinctly feminine vocal talents. Siouxie in Face to Face is beyond belief. Truly spook-tacular. Sopor in Minnesang is just...wow. *Giggles* Yeah. Wow.

Till Lindemann for the exact opposite. His bombastic, powerful voice emotes elements of Wagnerian opera. From the perspective of the Germanic language, he has an almost Austrian, very east German accent, which, strangely, was one of the things that made Hitler's voice appealing (although, I have to say, I like listening to Lindemann WAY more than Hitler *lol*)
