Not so much a total revelation as a recent conviction, but I'm reasonably sure my kid brother is finally becoming something approaching a decent human being. After three years wanting to strangle the little fucker, spending the last few hours with his has left a pleasantly saccharine warm glow in my general chest area.

Should we say that your small heart grew three sizes that day?

The actor who played him got inspiration from his cat for the part. Or maybe it was the director.
Gollum + Smeagol do have feline qualities.

I learned at 3:00 in the morning that sleep is important, but it's just far to peaceful and the moon to pretty to actually go to sleep.

*bump*
I've learned that lots of people like to start new threads about very narrowly defined topics that will be fleeting in popularity but serve in their brief life (in quantity) to bump more popular threads off the front page.
In the spirit of that knowledge I would like to apologize for starting the Motor-Boating thread, which I thought was a tongue-in-cheek way of poking fun at the many superfluous threads that were being created around here lately. But I ended up taking it too seriously myself, and it just became part of the problem.

But why doesn't it make you feel full for very long?

That people can turn their noses up at true Darkness, but shudder like little sheeple at obvious PS ghost pix and badly done videos. We really need a facepalm or eye rolling smiley.

That getting hit by a pot-lid wielding toddler really hurts.
Hearts_Purple - the only true darkness, for me, is the darkness that humans carry in their hearts and the subsequent pain they cast on others.

YES! I like it a lot, although I'm partial to Meddle and Ummagumma, but anything from that era (except Atom Heart Mother ... an inexplicable album) is pretty damn good. Have you seen "Live at Pompeii" yet? I really like that pre-success vision of their vision.

That is not Darkness, that is called Evil. There is a difference.

That, while the blackened fish tacos ad Sinclair's are okay, they are -certainly- not worth $11. >_< [I was under the impression that this was part of the lunch deal. Apparently, it's not. I feel scammed.]
Edit: Why is there an argument between the differences of "darkness" and "evil"?
Darkness in heart = evil in heart.

Hearts-Purple: What is "true Darkness" as you define it?

A love of the things that aren't the bright shiny 'normal' ideals of mainstream-minded individuals who only want to fit in with the rest of society.
You are completely wrong to think that just because something is dark that it is evil. Only someone with a very narrow veiw of the world would say such a thing.

Bingo!
Many Gothic things are dark. I love me some Poe and Lovecraft, surely some dark writing. And have you read any Goth music lyrics lately? Darkety dark dark dark! Not the same thing as some evil fuck that likes to torture and murder children IRL.
