Use? Nothing . It's all freehand in acrylic and set with spray adhesive and hairspray ( not sure how well this will weather ). I had to copy it from the logo and artwork pics on their Myspazz though ( I've saved them to my PC now so I don't have to keep doing that )

I have done some templates onto paper too, to have in front of me to copy onto whatever I'm doing.

So for the SGC one, I have the Skeleton Reaper, and the text in that style. I've just done the template for DCD as well.

I have 4 patches done now in total.

So, I decided I would try my hand at making a t-shirt, with fabric paint, and stencil. Deciding upon the much loved Cinema Strange logo, I redrew it by hand(Considering I had no working printer), and then cut it out.
It turned out much better than I had anticipated. Considering, I am not skilled in the drawing department.
However, I forgot to prewash the shirt I did it on, which was never washed before.

Do you think that could significantly affect the paint?
I`m slightly worried now.

The only issue with no prewashing shirts before doing any DIY to them is that I've found the surface alot easier to paint on afterwards.

I made a little neck corset/choker whotsit. I convinced father to get me a cheap eyelet kit on Ebay and immediately had a fiddle with my leathery stuff and some red ribbon :

This is probably my first real DIY!

I like to have telephone conversations on MSN with people.
Because these people live too far away to have long
conversations over 30 minutes without dumping loads of $$$.

I don't really enjoy using my microphone with its plastic 'stalk'.
I don't have a modern headset with that mic that stays infront of your mouth. Well, I was eyeing this old 1960's telephone reciever I had and thought;

"hey! let's see if I can use that! I wonder If I could hook this handset to a computer and talk on MSN with it!"

So I took it apart and removed the original wiring. I cut and spliced some extra audio cable I had, and hooked it to the microphone and speaker inside. I checked my connections and it looked good.I screwed it all together and plugged it in.

This is the moment of truth folks!

It worked perfectly! I could hear sound! It was loud and clear and I could talk without having to shout! It was much more comfy and felt more natural for a phone conversation and setting. Somebody messaged me and it was weird and cool to hear the msn sounds coming from the old 1960's reciever!

I don't know if you can buy something like this, I would be surprised that it isn't out there allready. I was worried that the black wiring would clash with the cream colored phone, but it is cool.

I took these pics when my crappy batteries charged up again.

Yeah technically not fashion, but it is a pretty cool DIY achievement. Anyway, I don't think even the people of gnet are anal enough to have a go at you over it.

Thanks man! I posted then realalised this diy thread was IN the fashion section! Ooops! Hehe!
I had a happy accident in the contruction phase. The wires are a little too short, so I need two extension cords if I want to sit in my chair and lean back. that means if I pull the phone gadget too far, the extension cord will unplug from the cord.

If the hard wired cords were long enough, it would be secure and if I dropped the thing or pulled too hard, I would rip the audio jacks right out of my computer's motherboard.

This is like that safety feasure that wired controllers have on the Xbox and Xbox 360.

Guys and gals! I must say, I really enjoyed that DIY!
It is not clothes but I had alot of fun doing it! It was really satisfiying that it turned out nicely. This is a start of something, I can feel it.

The reason why I haven't done the wild awesome stuff with clothes like Malice in Wonderland has, is not because I can't, it is because I lack the tools, paints and other things. Not because I lack tallent or imagination. If I had the proper things, I would be on a roll.

I am throwing out all of my clothes. Except the leather jackets and the boots. My clothes are mostly used, and they are worn out, washed out black turned dark grey and none of them fit. Too big.
So, I am goind to donate my old stuff, and buy new black pants, t-shirts, long slieve shirts, a few vests and a new top hat I want. And some nice black ties. I need to shop around to get the clothes that fit me properly. Small stuff. But I will be a confident man. To compliment the new line of clothes, contact lenses will be good. MMMMMM!
