Credibility is doubtful; it seems from reading that enough people are surprised by the outcome to make the quiz seem bogus. And the categories are somewhat limiting. For instance, I consider myself a Bohemian/Victorian/EGA. I suppose the "romantic goth" parasol might cover that, but it's not really me. How does "romantic" equal "traditional" anyway?
Eh, whatever jellies your jam.

Old school goth, yet I was born in 1989.
What subcategory of Goth best fits you?
You scored as a Old-school Goth
You are an old-school goth. Forget Tina and Rogue, your idols are still Siouxsie and Peter and Fat Bob, and black lipstick and white powder is still the way to go. Click on my name to take my other tests if you liked this one.

The amused me about this survey when I took this ages ago was that the first thing that popped into my head when I got the results was; "Christina and Tina look fabulous!".
Didn't hurt that I was listening to SS when I answered the question about them either.
For the record, I don't dress up like an evil Dollie but cute evil looking things sure do float my boat.
You scored as a Perky Goff
You are a perky goff! You like cute things, glitter, and scary carnivals. You think that the contrast between playful innocence and dark corruption is tantalizing, which is why you like to dress up like an evil dollie. Click on my name to take my other tests if you liked this one.

I think I might've taken this before... Anyway, I felt this a bit limiting, actually, because I'm into more than one style and am known to change at the slightest whim.

Confused Outsider - Fucker that probably thinks communists are evil and is a shitty liberal because he thinks it's cooler than being a conservative.
Understanding Outsider - Same as the bastard above, only had the luck to know an actual goth and for this sole coincidence he's so much better person than the above one.
Anything-Goes Goth - Why call itself a goth in the first place?
Fantasy Goth - Friendless nerd that was hoping people would respect him if he looked dark like most villains in his manga.
Perky Goff - Neurotic nuisance, always either histrionic or with a Peter Pan complex. Afraid that people might see it without a smile and find out it has a soul.
Industrial/Rivet-Head - If you were a real industrial you wouldn't be proud of being in this quiz.
Cyber-goth - Elitist materialist goth that will not consider anyone worth of its presence unless he's spent over $500 in a single outfit.
Romantic Goth - Pretentious melodramatic goth that thinks the Victorian era was the citadel of human progress rather than the conservative bane that stained the human race. Won't judge you like a cybergoth, but spends just the same amount of money in looking like a sexually repressed oligarchical son of a bitch.
Ethereal Goth - Enjoys boring and repetitive music because it was once highly innovative. Is highly intellectual and doesn't even find out a point in intellectualism but still gets aroused by it.
Death Rocker - Goth that regretted wearing a Nazi cape and couldn't pull off wearing a wedding dress a second time, so started dressing like a Batcaver only in America so that it looked like it had never been done before.
Old-school Goth - Either someone with a flamboyant yet relatively cheap outfit that thinks the goth thing went a little bit too far, or the same undercover wannabe that took the goth thing a little bit too far.
Jillian goth - Awesome. Doesn't even need the second word at all. It's impossible to be more awesome. Except if he had two penises, but that's always a given.
