I once visited the Edinburgh Playhouse for a tour with my drama class at school, and the guy said that the place was full of ghosts and it was bad luck to whistle on stage, because once upon a time the cue for bringing down the backdrop scenery was whistling, and someone had done it before and been crushed to death... heh. Or something along those lines. The guy was so boring, most of our class were more interested in the fact that his Calvin Klein underwear was showing.
