My first time was the worst. I lost it over the summer to my boy frend after my 14th birthday, and I that I was going to be bad. He said that he didn't want to hurtme, but i think he hurt me more by not being good. He said that next time it would be better, and i hope it will.!

My first time was wonderful. It was with my husband. We dated for about a year. I was a virgin, obviously, and he wasnt. We loved each other alot and I wanted to do it because I was ready. It was so romantic and I am glad I waited to do it with someone I loved. I wish I could go back in time and re-live it. After about another year we got married and we are trying to get pregnant. Too much information??

My first time was the polar opposite - completely devoid of romance. I think I actually used the words "get it over with" at one point. I'm not a huge romantic so it wasn't in itself a huge problem ... but in addition, it was also painful, and the main thing I remember is being very cold and needing a wee.

I'm sorry your first experience was like that. Your first should be the best, but I guess that cant always happen. A lot of people/tennagers just wanna experience it so bad they dont care how romantic or special it is...sad. Their choice I guess.

I was 16 my first time. I didn't feel anything, physically or emotionally. I never saw the guy again; maybe that was for the best.

I wasn't really disappointed with my first time - nearly every girl says it sucks, so I wasn't expecting much. I don't really equate sex with love - it CAN be about love, but I don't necessarily think it has to be - so I wasn't expecting the earth to move or anything. I was just glad that the worst was over, and from here on in it would start to actually feel good.

Nah. It doesn't really matter to me. Personally I see sex generally as a physical thing. He was a lot older, he knew what he was doing, and it wasn't embarrassing or anything. I considered myself to have done alright out of my first time. Obviously standards have been raised a little since then! But I don't really regret it.

I've known far too many wonderful girls who's first experience was not consentual. Clinically they may have already lost their virginity but I wholeheartedly embrace the idea of the ... spiritual? ... virginity. Something a woman has to give. And no it's not based on love or anything like that... just simply saying something to the effect of: "Well I suppose you can stick it but make it fast, I've got mac and cheese on the burner".
