I just sent my teacher an e-mail explaining my absence for tomorrow, or rather explaining that I am in ownership of the project my class is doing in his class if he should decide to start presenting tomorrow. Anyway, it's really nothing until the bottom is reached. I don't know what I was thinking, I get a bit strange when I am sleepy.
"Sir Coach Brown Almighty,
I am writing to notify you that it seems as if I will be absent from class today, Thursday of December 14. This was brought upon me rather late (as in after school on Wednesday the 13th), and without having this knowledge prior to attending school I had taken it upon myself to take home many of the materials used for the group projects. I am unsure as to whether you wish to start today or Friday, but regardless of that matter is the fact that I hold with me Group One's work, and even if I were to find a way to bring it in before school tomorrow it would be left unfinished for the fact that everyone was so unsure as to when the projects would be presented. So, with the chance that you wish to start Thursday, I would like to apologize in advance for the missing work my group has due to my absence, and I ask that you do not penalize them for it.
On the chance that we are presenting Friday, then insert Jedi mind trick here and forget all that has been said. Now, go make me a sandwich.
Sincerely,
******
P.S. Mustard, not mayo. No onions."

Ha, I wish I could write to my professors like that. They command our respect. "I have a PHD from Harvard Medical, now worship me" (paraphrased a little)
Oh, and do you have a sandwich fixation? What is it with you and sandwiches?

A conversation I had with my teacher today:
"Hey Brett, I'm not going to be in today."
"Oh, ok. Why not?"
"Eh, worked late. Pretty tired."
"Ah, gotcha. Well, be sure to make the work up tomorrow"
"Will do, see you then"

That's cool. I also wanted to be a surgeon, until malpractice rates skyrocketed. The people in the United States love to sue since they don't understand the complexities and anomalies of the human body. One major blunder in surgery, (my preference was neurosurgery) and I could be the Grouch's new neighbor in a trash can.
Anyway, nice to meet another likeminded individual. What field of surgery do you prefer.

Neurosurgery, too, actually, haha. Luckily people aren't quite so trigger-happy with sueing people in Australia (yet), so hopefully I won't get charged with malpractice when an 80 year old man dies of natural causes under anaesthesia before I even crack his skull open. Ahem... I should probably avoid language like that when facing the judges!
I'm just exceedingly interested in how the human body works really. The brain especially, but I'm also keen on reconstructive surgery, transpants and cancers.

Awesome. I think the relationship of neurology to psychology is really cool. I suggest you also try some psychology courses since it relates so well. Also, I guarantee you won't get bored. You'll have so many classes and laboratories, that by the end of the year, you could pass for a vampire. You won't see the light of day. (insert maniacal laughter)
Also, I think cancers are the extremely complex due to their amazing rates of mutation. I've never seen anything like it. You always pick the hard subjects. I like it

Oh man, my last post sounded extremely hyped up.
Just wanted to tell you that I am practically high on energy drinks (frickin Chinese herbs like Guarana). So please excuse any incoherent babble.

Oh cool, I have family from Jersey. I'm going to LA Valley College...kinda. It's an odd situation. I left high school in 10th grade for independent study. I'm in my senior year, taking classes at LAVC in order to graduate. Basically, I'm completing all my high school classes in college. I hope to enter CALarts next spring for film and experimental animation.

That's pretty cool. I heard that some of the best film schools are in your area. It must be awesome for an artist living in such a place like Hollywood. Are you into manga or anime animation? I think Asian film and animation is incredible.

I'm taking VCE Psychology for that very purpose . My sister is a psychology major in university at the moment, so I've also been stealing her books and papers.

I can't resist what I find so facinating. They always talk about medical school as though it's "oh such hard work", "oh so difficult", "say goodbye to your social life!" - but none of that matters when you're learning about such interesting things.
I look forward to passing for a vampire!

I agree with you. Even though your social life takes a huge hit, at least you are learning fascinating concepts. Anyways, like you stated, passing for vampires can be cool. We're goths you know!
I think its cool being interested in dark literature and music while simulatneously being fascinated with life and saving it. It's pretty cool.

I love asian film! I'm actually in the process of learning japanese, so that I can one day work with the great artists in Japan.
I'm not a huge manga fan, but a few animations have really impressed me, such as Vampire Hunter D and Akira. As long as it's not done in the cutesy style, I usually like it.

It certainly is pretty cool! I'm glad to see I'm not the 'only goth in the medical village' .

Mick, that's awesome! I love Asian films too, even though I don't get much exposure since the arts is my minor. I wish I can learn Japanese since so much great artists are Japanese. They are so highly evolved art wise that they are sort of like the dadaists of animation. Like instead of tough American GI characters, they have feminine heroes. Their stories are also so original, like Ghost in the Machine.
Cicero, I am also surprised in finding a medical goth since it is seemingly a paradox.
Well, that makes two goths in the medical village in the entire world. jk

The Japanese are way more experimental than we are. Not just with animation but with technology and fashion as well. Their insane culture in highly inspiring.
I'm also surprised there aren't more medigoths. Everyone I've met seems to have an enormous interest in anatomy.
