February 17:
Kosovo declared its independence (that was this year).
Jeffrey Dahmer was convicted.
The world's first superhero, The Phantom, appears in comics.
I share my birthday with Paris Hilton, Lupe Fiasco, Billy Joe Armstrong, so, basically a load of wankers.

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on my birthdate. And Frederick Douglass gave a speech about his legacy on it too years later.

All I've got for mine is Jimi Hendrix's deathday and the birthdays of a bunch of people I don't know.
Just leaves more room in the day to celebrate my own escape from a uterus.

July 10th.
My (ex) girlfriend made it fairly memorable... But now I don't want to think about what we did =\
To see events go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_10
Nothing really interesting.

I don't think you were actually born in '77, but with your obvious interest in punk I'll guess a certain album by a certain band starting with S and ending with -ex Pistols was released sometime around then.
...
Google says yes.

Curious, why do you think that?

August 31
1997 - Princess Diana is killed in a car wreck.
1888 - Mary Ann Nichols, the first known Ripper victim, is found dead.
(My mother always teased me about being Nichols reborn, considering I've been fascinated by the case since I was very young.)
1942 - Superman is first aired on radio.
1887 - Thomas Edison patents the kinetoscope.

Saya, I didn't even think to look up the date on wikipedia.
Oh man, I'm trying so hard not to go into "overly-excited history geek" mode after seeing that dead_dreams birthday is on the same day that the union army marched into Chattanooga. That was a major turning point in the Civil War.
